@texasmum - good job! I'm pretty nervous haha.
@iluvpatho - Yes, I think I read your thread! It helped me too.
So I guess I'm not alone in the feeling so nervous?! I know I wont be able to sleep at all next week. I guess I'm jsut ready for it to start so I don't have to wait anymore haha.
Hi Newstudent2010,
I start school next week too. Well Orientation anyway then school on the 24th. I am super excited and nervous. I have been teaching myself A&P (We take it in the program, not a pre-req) and Medical Terminology, to prepare. YouTube has some great videos to learn stuff and get a head start. My favorite is UNCBerkley, they post class lectures from Berkley. I have watched lecture 1-12 for A&P and I feel pretty confident since I have no medical background.
I think it is normal to be nervous! Good luck!
I just started two days ago!! We are going through orientation...well done with orientation now to start classes. All the info they throw at you at first is really overwhelming and intimidating but the upperclassmen gave us a lot of advice. One piece of advice I found very helpful and am planning on using is take one week at a time. I am the kind of person who likes to know every detail of my lfie schedules a month in advance....and apparently nurisng school isnt like that. So I am just going one day at a time and trying to stay as organized as possible. So I will just schedule one week at a time and go from there.
Yes its totally normal!! I was like that when i started my first semester and im like that now going into my second semster! I start next week also but im prepared and ready! I've learned alot last semester and now know what to expect so my nervousness should hopefully go away! Good Luck!;)
