4580 starting Fall, first 5 weeks....

Hello Everyone: In the syllabus for 4580 it says we cannot post our original DB post and two responses on the same day. However, I have been doing it that way for every nursing class and have never had points deducted. A student in my group pointed this section of the syllabus out to the TA who is going to speak with the lead TA. Has anyone else had issues with this?

Just curious since BB is down and has no repair time in sight does anyone happen to recall the readings for this week. I have read chapter 4, but was trying to work on the remaining readings while BB is down. Any clue?

Chapter 2 - Management Principles

Chapter 4 - Organizational Climate and Culture

Chapter 17 - Mission Statements, Policies, and Procedures

I can't believe BB is still down!

In 3 of my nursing classes, I have not been able to post DB and responses in the same day. I have even lost points because of that...just be careful and ask your TA!!

The response time for the BB technicians is not good! I wasn't able to get on at 6 am (pacific time)!! Still can't and its 230 here.....ugh.....I just hope that BB is up tomorrow so that I can get my last post done...

You HAVE to be kidding me! BB is still down! UGH! I live on the west coast and it is bad enough that I have to submit work on Eastern time! This is ridiculous! Fantastic!

Does anyone has the instructions for the first paper that is due by tomorrow night?? The TA has not emailed me back all day with them and BB is still OUT! URG ... and I have to have it finished by 6pm tomorrow night because I work 12 hrs =(

1. Use the info from your assigned readings to review the mission, vision, values and stated goals of the organization where you are employed.

2. Is there a nursing mission or philosophy in your organization? Is there a unit mission or goal on your unit? If so, are they consistent with those of a larger organization?

3. Describe how the nursing and/or department mission or goal exemplifies the organization. IF you do not work on a unit or in a nursing department, choose an area and write what you think the mission or goal should be. Support this with a rationale for your decision.

4. Compare the nursing mission, goals and values with those of the organization.

5. Describe your individual role in meeting your unit's or department's mission or what you believe it should be.

6. Cite a minimum of two ways you believe nursing practice in your institution exemplifies the mission, vision, values and goals of the organization.

7. Use your analysis to determine ways in which nursing could improve in terms of operationalizing the mission of nursing and/or institution.
