Starting Emory nursing school for the Fall 07

Hello,

I am so excited about starting Emory nursing school in the fall. I'm coming to Georgia from Louisiana so I hope that it isn't too much of a culture shock . Is anyone else headed to Emory in the fall? Any advice about anything would be great from anyone ;) !!!!

Well, since we first brought it up in this thread so around the 30th of July. I emailed my financial aid advisor that day and she put me on the list the next day when I ok'ed it. I got an email today stating my package had changed and when I checked, it was posted to my account. $4000 for Fall/Spring.

Thanks, Yuppie, but I don't think you missed anything. I was googling the name of the award that is showing and it says it is a grant that doesn't get paid back. It is for 1st degree seeking GA residents with the lowest EFC's. I emailed my adviser but it's the weekend so nothing yet.

Oh really. That sucks. Did you get a list in the mail for our uniform requirements? I haven't recieved anything on that yet.

yep, we got the uniform stuff 2 or 3 weeks ago along with our dosage cal and word list.

I am moving slowly through the book...skipping around and doing practice problems. This week is my last week at my part-time summer job and I intend to put my nose to the grindstone after that. Yeah...ok.

OMG I guess I'm the only one who's behind of all these paperworks and studying.. I was out of country for past three months, and I just got back last week..

I just sent the immunization and other forms to the health center today.. and ordered that medicine dosage book and I should get it this wednesday..

I just started to studying A&P and it seems like I forgot everything.. sigh.. those of you who already took the test, how many questions were there? Do i have to know all the details of it or are they just general questions? omg I'm so worried..

I never knew anything about HIPAA stuff before i read this thread, so thank God~ i meant thank ya'll~ lol I need to start doing it but it's another quiz?? sigh

I'm so stressed out.. never knew I had to study before school.. I'm not so used to it!!! lol

The A&P quiz is 98 questions if I remember correctly. It is broken down into 4 parts. I was blown away by a few of the questions since I haven't even visited any kind of A&P in over a year. I didn't study at all beforehand and didn't do so badly. It isn't for a grade. The instructors are using it to see where the class stands and what might need to be reviewed.

The HIPAA stuff is worse...:barf01:I would rather take 4 more A&P tests than deal with it again.

98 question? oh my.. I just don't remember anything of A&P.. I know that it's not for graded but the word "test" makes me wanna do good on it.. haha but i know that i'm not gonna do good.. :p

I just did HIPAA thingy except the Research HIPAA part.. I was about to smash my labtop..:angryfire but do we have to print out the scores and bring it ?? I'm confused :idea:

Someone sent me info that our 350 class..Integrated Science...is on Blackkboard now. You can see all the fishbowl teams...whatever that is :lol2: I do recall Amy warning us about it! You can also view the syllabus and other things.
