when to start NCLEX reviews

Published

Hello everyone. I am in 3rd semester of my ADN program and will be finishing in 6 months. I am already nervous about the NCLEX because I am in a Fastrack program (15months instead of 2 years, and most coursework is online), so I feel that I have missed out on a lot of learning. When should I start doing NCLEX reviews, and how long after graduation should I wait to take the NCLEX?

Time that you can even take NCLEX will be dependent on how quickly that your school gets your transcripts to the BON. Also depends on where you live and when you plan to begin work.

I recommend the Saunder's Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN exam. If you have the time, you may wish to read the book from cover to cover to increase your knowledge base, it may make you feel more comfortable.

Specializes in OB, lactation.

I'll be done in about 6 months too.. I try to do a set of questions each day... that book that Suzanne mentioned has a CD ROM with it that will give you a study set of 10 to practice on.

Like Suzanne, I also recommend the book - for class as well as NCLEX review.
