I couldn’t find a thread for the most recent Stanford new grad program and wanted to start a thread. If there is one already, lmk ?

Is there a thread for the upcoming cycle? I just got my interview invite. ?

What did some of ya'll do that got rejected but obtained an interview for a later cohort? Thanks everyone.

Hello everyone,

Offer letters have been sent out for the Stanford New Grad Residency beginning in June. My friend and I decided to make a group so all of us can connect on.

Here is the link https://www.facebook.com/groups/846287449211974/about

Hello everyone

I wanted to see if anyone from the previous round of new grads has any advice for the interview. I am interviewing for the ICU for the October new grad start. Any insight into the program or the interview process would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Everyone!

I'm currently beginning nursing school who has my heart set out on working at Stanford in the long run, I know I am nowhere near from finishing just yet but it wouldn't hurt to overly prepare? hahaha

I wanted to get advice from those who already went through the experience and was wondering if anyone could share some wisdom to me that I could do now to later on put me as a top prospective candidate. Hope this message reaches you all well and hope you're staying safe during these COVID times. Thank for taking the time to read & reply in advance as well! ?

Hey. I recently started in the new grad program at LPCH - Stanford. It is the best experience ever. I don't really know what made me stand out from other applicants. But, they told us once we were in that they were looking for people who were enthusiastic about the program and nursing. I was pretty enthusiastic in my interview, and I was just very honest with them about how much I wanted to be there. I also got my intermediate FHR monitoring certification from AWOHNN before hand. They'll make you get that certification again (if you're in LnD) but I think it showed that I was serious about my specialty, and I was super passionate about learning more about my field.

Hope that helps.

That did help, I appreciate taking the time to respond! I had just additional questions if you don't mind or feel comfortable answering, but while in nursing school did you work as a PCT in that department or do any extracurriculars? Thank you again! ?

Specializes in Nursing.

Hello! I am interested in applying to the program. I am wondering if I can know the GPA/experience/nursing schools of candidates who get offers? Thank you.
