I couldn’t find a thread for the most recent Stanford new grad program and wanted to start a thread. If there is one already, lmk ?

For people who heard back last week, have you guys heard from Kevin after sending him ACLS/BLS documents and the other things he asked for?

I just got the email this morning to send him those documents and he said we have until tomorrow night to do it so I don't anticipate hearing back until Wednesday!

Nothing yet for me either, and she had told me the same too! Not sure if her and K are up to date on each other's timelines? Hoping to hear back today regardless though so we don't spend the whole weekend waiting hahaha ?

@radnurse101 did you hear back about k7 today?

Oh shoot well that’s a definite no for me then ☹️ Congrats and good luck with it!

Hi,

I am graduating nursing school April 23rd and want to apply to Stanford’s labor and deliver RN residency program. Where did you all apply for your cohort? Do you guys know when they’ll open up applications for the next cohort? I just don’t want to miss my application period whenever that is. Is there anyone I could contact to find out more information about the program? I didn’t see any emails or phone numbers online? Please help me haha! I just want to follow in y’alls footsteps.

@Dhild If you are wanting to apply to Stanford's L&D unit then that will be a different application/process through Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford. I applied to LPCH last year and the application opened in April and was due May 15th (from my best memory). I would keep an eye out and check this website: http://careers.stanfordchildrens.org/pages/RN-residency-program. I would also recommend checking other social media platforms (like this one) because people will sometimes post updates/heads up when applications will open. Hopefully this helps!

When I finished the first interview they said another app would be coming out March 6 if I remember correctly - so hopefully tomorrow!

I got my official rejection letter today. I figured I wouldn’t get an interview but I’m thankful for the notification so I can move on. Congratulations on everyone who got an interview though! Would anybody be interested in DMing me what they felt like made them stand out? At the time of the application, I didn’t have my ACLS but now I do. I heard somewhere that they didn’t interview anyone without the cert since it was so competitive. Is this true?

I also got my rejection letter as well today. I did get the first interview for oncology but unfortunately did not make the 2nd round. I plan to reapply for the next cohort for medicine or surgical. I would also like to know for those who got hired, what made you guys stick out during the interviews! I would greatly appreciate it if you can message me as well!

Not necessarily true. I got my ACLS a week before my interview
so I also did not have it at time of application but I do think you need it to prior to interviewing in order to receive an offer. Feel free to DM me!
