Stanford Nurse Residency August 2023 Cohort 39

Hello everyone, 

I just wanted to submit this here to start a place where all of us who have applied to Stanford's nurse residency program can communicate. This is for cohort 39, which has a start date of August 21, 2023. I hope we all get in!

Hi all, was anybody else's ICU unit level interview primarily behavioral style questions too? I'm nervous because I was only asked "tell me about yourself" & the rest were all "tell me about a time when…” questions! The anticipation is crazy ?

I am still waiting on my rejection letter. Never received a call and my status on the workday website has not changed. Still says "In process, in review"

I interviewed at other hospitals within my area and the interview process was FAR less daunting than Stanford (in my opinion). I actually got an offer at another hospital yesterday morning under a nurse residency program and I accepted it. Just remember, Stanford is not the only option. There are so many hospitals that would be SO lucky to have you.  Never give up and trust the process.... its a draining process but everything will work out for you ❤️ I have so much faith. 

Congrats to those that got offers at Stanford!! So proud and I wish nothing but the best for all of you.

Just heard back 20 min ago for a unit level interview for B2 tomorrow! Does anyone know what types of questions they will ask?

Congrats!  Did the phone call say "unknown caller", or was it a phone number?  I just kissed a phone call about 15 min ago from an unknown caller but they didn't leave a message! I hope it wasn't Stanford ?. I'm still assuming I wasn't chosen but glad to hear they're still calling people!!

It showed as a 650 area code!

I received a verbal offer on Monday and was informed that I should hear from HR next week as they're still wrapping up their call backs for job offers until June 30!

OMG!! Were u able to use the same stories ?? Also were there the same ppl there ? SORRY FOR THE QUESTIONS

no worries don't apologize! ? I was able to use some of the same stories because a lot of the questions were similar but to the panel interview questions! Only the unit manager was there this time, but he had staff & management from the unit with him as well. When is your interview? ? And for which ICU, if you don't mind me asking?

Tomorrow for neuro ICU!! Which unit did u interview in!

Has anyone done their 2nd interview with the medicine B2 unit yet? How was it?? Did they ask you more behavioral questions or also get to know you questions? Thanks!
