Published

Hello everyone,

I just wanted to submit this here to start a place where all of us who have applied to Stanford's nurse residency program can communicate. This is for cohort 39, which has a start date of August 21, 2023. I hope we all get in!

Hi just wanted to share I'm also waiting to hear back from surgical! I asked the fb group if anyone has received a call from them yet to gauge what's going on. Fingers crossed for both of us.

What's the name of the fb group, if you don't mind me asking? I want to ask if anyone has heard back from any of the ICUs! I am so anxious haha.

Oh yes! I totally forgot you and I chatted about oncology 1 vs 2! I wonder if you'd be able to move to BMT when the training is over.

Ah yes! It was weird because the BMT managers were in my panel interview? Regardless I'm excited and honored to have the opportunity to interview with heme/onc ? But it will be a tough decision if I end up getting an offer from stanford because I already have an offer for BMT at a different hospital. BUT it's not in the bay area and that's where I'd rather be.

@Nurse6779Do you happen to know how many candidates are they hiring into each Unit? I remember seeing it somewhere but now that I am looking for it. I cant seem to find it. Isn't is always like that? @tdjrn Thank you

I know they estimated hiring about 3 candidates per unit. So since there are six ICUs, I would assume there's about 18 total critical care positions they are looking to fill.

It was 3pm on Monday

Does anyone know how many people they select to move on to the 2nd interview?! Or does that number change every cohort?
