Hi all, soon to be new grad here!
I didn't find another thread yet for the Stanford New Grad RN Residency starting Fall 2020. I thought this would be a good place to share advice and on where/when to apply for Stanford’s nurse residency program. I have a vague understanding that it may reopen this spring, however, the website does not have much information past that. Not to mention, it's nice to extend a little support to each other during our first job hunt.
Best of luck to everybody!
Hey! Unfortunately, I wasn't accepted into the program after the second interview. I’m disappointed, but I do want to try again. Do you guys know if we are allowed to have any RN experience if we do apply again?
Also, to those who were accepted, CONGRATS!! I’m so happy for you guys and wish you all the best in the program! Do you have any recommendations on any certifications, experiences, or classes that you believe made you stand out in the process?
Thanks in advance! ?

Definitely keep trying! I don't remember if you're allowed to have RN experience. I want to say you can if it's less than 6mo. experience, but don't quote me on that! I'm not 100% sure.
I got my ACLS, PALS, BLS, NIHSS and joined professional organizations that interested me (I.e. AACN, ENA, etc. )
I also utilized Dr. Miller's (nursing coach) resources. https://linktr.ee/starternurseacademy I followed her on LinkedIn and Instagram. She's awesome, no joke.
