Stanford New Grad RN Residency Fall 2020

Published

Hi all, soon to be new grad here!

I didn't find another thread yet for the Stanford New Grad RN Residency starting Fall 2020. I thought this would be a good place to share advice and on where/when to apply for Stanford’s nurse residency program. I have a vague understanding that it may reopen this spring, however, the website does not have much information past that. Not to mention, it's nice to extend a little support to each other during our first job hunt.

Best of luck to everybody!

I’m not sure, but from this forum it sounds like some managers weren’t going to call even the candidates that got the position? So I would think the list is final but not everyone on that list knows yet?

Does that mean all offers are out or that the list of offerees is created and more offers will be coming this week? What are the group's thoughts?

I think that means they will be sending out official offers this week, NOT that all offers are out. If we haven't received an official no, I think that means we're still in the running. Either way we'll find out this week.

Thank you RN885, BSN, RN for sending us that update. I'm not friends with him on facebook so I didn't see the story. He hasn't posted anything on LinkedIn.

I agree with you.

I sent a follow up email to the managers and leads who interviewed me. The response I got failed to provide me with any answers. It basically said, (to sum it up) thank you, it was a pleasure having you part of the interview process, "Hopefully ---------------- from Talent Acq. will reach out to you soon." If you have question feel free to ask.

… I wanted to think that means I got it, but it doesn't say that anywhere. So, I'm still hanging out in limbo. hahaha

Oh man! I bet your heart was racing when you saw they replied to your email. It sounds like you got it to me, but you're right...who knows. Good luck!

My heart was pounding! I thought, "OMG!.. yes, FINALLY an answer!" and nothing hahaha. Thank you for your positivity. I just really want to know at this point.

@Nursing4Life I basically got the same exact message as well. Staying positive tho! Well, trying!

Hello...CONGRATS to everyone who got offers! I will be applying next round and was wondering if the Oncology unit is part of the surgical or ICU, or its own independent unit....thanks!!

It’s an independent unit ? good luck for next round!

CONGRATS to those who received verbal offers already!! I’m glad that everyone is so supportive on here! Does anyone know if all rejection letters have gone out already or is HR still sending them? Trying my best not to overthink haha ?

I know that one person heard back from ICU. Is there anyone else who received a verbal offer for ICU?

I don't know but I really do wish we would get some kind of update.

Same... I'm going to be moving over there, as many others might be, and I need the offer to even be able to start the process of applying for a new place.
