Stanford New Grad RN Residency Fall 2020

Hi all, soon to be new grad here!

I didn't find another thread yet for the Stanford New Grad RN Residency starting Fall 2020. I thought this would be a good place to share advice and on where/when to apply for Stanford’s nurse residency program. I have a vague understanding that it may reopen this spring, however, the website does not have much information past that. Not to mention, it's nice to extend a little support to each other during our first job hunt.

I just got notification from the nurse manager that I got an offer! its for one of the surgical units

they called me. they said I should have heard from ***** by now and would follow up with him so I can get my letter. WOW! I didn't know allnurses blocks peoples names. I meant to say they said I should have heard from K by now

I also just got notification from the manager of an offer for surgical. She can’t officially give the offer but said just waiting on Kevin

You guys, I should have come on here a lot sooner. I feel like I've been driving my partner and best friend crazy with how anxious I've been. I've been trying to stay super positive but the anxiety is weighing on me. I haven't gotten anything in my email, but I'm so glad I'm not alone. Congratulations to all those who received offers!!

I love how emotional all of us are it makes me feel better about myself ? does this mean if Kevin is truly out today then later in the week is our time to hear back?

*The manager also said it’s pending background check, which I hope isn’t true because I’ve heard those are taking forever right now with the courts being closed

Hahaha. This process is tough. I’m happy for everyone who has heard from a manager so far. I haven’t heard anything or received any email. So, I don’t know what to make of that.

Is anyone else waiting to hear from Oncology?

I’m still waiting to hear from Oncology. I interviewed on Thursday tho, so I don’t think I got it.. I feel like I would have heard by now ?

Hang in there guys! I believe they may be delayed for giving out official offer letters! Has anyone asked Kevin for updates?
