Stanford New Grad program

U.S.A. California

Published

I just read on the Stanford career site that as of today they are taking applicants for a new RN training program and I have read that many of you are looking for such programs.

Good Luck!!

CONGRATS nursetobe1975! I know it is such a relief!! Now just buckle down and try like the rest of us to get that job! We all eventually will. Now you have another tool in your box to help you find that job!! Still searching here, good luck to everyone. Oh, has any one heard anything new from Stanford since the panels??

Thank you! Yeah, I am relieved. Now I can focus on the job hunting. No I have not heard from Stanford.

Just got my rejection email. Can't say that I am surprised. There is some stiff competition so congrats to anyone who made it to another interview! I am actually glad I made it to even a panel interview. Gives me hope that my resume at least looks good enough to get that far. Now I just have to wait for more new grad openings :)!

Again, good luck to everyone who makes it further!

That must be a good sign cause my status changed today to "sorry not selected." Good luck!

I still haven't heard anything  I've come to the conclusion that my application got sucked into the deep dark depths of a filing basket somewhere in the Stanford basement and has been left to decompose for all eternity without my ever knowing. I still have my fingers crossed that I'm in the pile of, "no panel interview needed - let's call her this week for an individual interview," but that looks more and more unlikely as the clock ticks on.

CONGRATULATIONS to all of you who have had panel interviews and/or have individual interviews coming up! That's a huge accomplishment when you compare yourself to those other 500+ applicants who applied! Best of luck and keep us updated :)

Havent heard anything as yet, but I have the same status as CC918 so I am not exactly sure what that means. We will all know soon.

I am a recent graduate of an accelerated BSN program. I have some volunteer experience prior to getting into my nursing program but other than that I have no healthcare experience. My GPA is strong and I also have a BA in Psychology and Communication.

I did not get a one-on-one interview so I was not what they were looking for. I was hoping someone who gets/got a one-on-one would share their background just to know what they were looking for, out of curiosity. Some people apparently did not have to do a panel interview and went straight to one-on-one so their applications must have been really strong.

It's just a competitive time in the Bay Area right now. Everything will fall into place eventually. Feel free to private message me if you have other questions.:)

I didn't get a rejection email but my status changed to "sorry not selected" what a bummer... I've been waiting to apply to Stanford for so long. I've been out of school for almost 9 months now. But we can't dwell over it, gotta keep moving forward! The only thing I sort of had with Stanford was that I precepted at Lucile Packard, if that made any difference.

Good luck to everyone who has an interview and congratulations to everyone who made it this far!! I too would also like to know how the one-on-one turns out just for future reference.
