  1. Hey loma6685, I was wondering what kind of experience do you have within the hospital? Also, what in your resume/experience have you done to make you stand out and get called for interviews? I have only had 1 call and nothing further than a phone interview after applying for at least 60 positions. I would like to know some tips that could help me and others in the future too. Thanks :) -dianne
  2. blackheartednurse, where do you work? and what in the resumer do you think helped you out? thanks for the info.
  3. unfortunately, yes i applied for spring 2010. but, thanks for the support everyone.
  4. My status online says "application filed, not hired" :grn:
  5. rejection email!
  6. hey loma6685, i've been watching this thread for sometime and wanted to know about your resume. i only got the phone interview for stanford and have applied to at least 50 positions already. can i add u as a contact and private message you about it? thankss.
  7. I'm sorry about your situation Rex3838!!! I hope you pass too! Just to let everyone know about how soon the cali board posts... I took my test on the 11th. I found out early morning of the 17th on the BON site that I passed! Goodluck everyone!
  8. Hey Rex3838. I took it in California on the 11th. No results yet! Hopefully, I will know through the BON website by this week! Good luck!
  9. I just took it on the 11th of this month. Stopped at 75. At least 10 SATAs, 5-7 infection controls, 1 or 2 OB/peds, 10 meds (at least 5 i had NEVER heard of). I came out feeling DUMB....to the point where I questioned if my studying was enough. However, as the other thread talks about it, I tried the pearson vue trick and got the good pop up. But, that in itself only calms down the anxiety a little. I want to know the official results already! One word of advice: remember to RELAX during this exam. I totally could not focus and had to reread the first few questions because I was so nervous. So, I wrote on the white board some uplifting words to myself and practiced breathing slowly. Accept the earplugs if you need to AND wear the headphones if you have to. Goodluck to everyone. You all can do it!
  10. I'm volunteering at the ER right now. I've just started a month ago, but we stock carts, clean up the rooms and change the linens, tidy up the waiting room and the rest of the ER, send items to pharmacy or the lab, random secretarial work that the charge nurse might assign, and almost NOTHING dealing with patients directly. I have not had the chance to transport a patient yet. But, that's all! I feel like housekeeping!
  11. Hey everyone. I'm a new member here and this is my first post. I've just been browsing around and finally got the guts to say hello! I'm about to take NCLEX this coming Nov 11 . Today it's the 5th and I am at the point where I feel like I can only study meds, lab values, and key points I jotted down from reviewing kaplan rationales. I've already reviewed the kaplan course content book at least 2x..., have done at least 1200 questions, and up to trainer #6. Scores ranging from 55-70%. Am i doing alright? What do you all recommend I do these last few days before? Let me know. ALSO, good luck to everyone else about to take it or anyone else waiting on results! WE CAN DO THIS!:nmbrn:
