St Philip's College LVN Spring 2015 Applicants!

Published

Hey guys! Turned in my application in the middle of October and am impatiently waiting for the end of the month when we find out if we made it. :)

Does anyone off the top of their head know the hours for the daytime program? I'm blanking and can't remember. Also, does anyone know how competitive the program is or what GPA they're accepting right now?

I KNOW ME TOO!!! I bought my first pair of scrubs today! I checked in Canvas and it looks like two of our classes will be on there this semester. They look pretty intense...the syllabi made me just 😨😱

Really well my final price for all my books was about or less than 500. So now I can go buy a good stethoscope which is what I aimed for at least half of my family has some relation in the medical field so I have lots of background knowledge but I wish I could get in to PQ I'm paying out of pocket for everything

Did you get your books on Craigslist? I looked but I could only find a few. I'm thinking about just renting the more expensive ones from Amazon & just pray I can get the city's program to pay for them this summer.

Yes I did get them from craigslist .. But see everyone in a couple of days

I anyone nervous about tomorrow? I kinda am I wounder how it's going to be.. Do you think we could wear regular sweater over our scrubs or does it have to be like a scrub coat? Has anyone bought the clinical scrubs from the bookstore

If anyone is interested I have medium dickes scrubs left me know they are sightly used but still in good condition. They are solid colors

I'm gonna wear a long black sleeve undershirt under my scrub top (black and pink scrubs) and my winter coat. I'm so excited and nervous and kind of intimidated lol.

I'll try probably do the same. I'm feel the same like I don't want to wear scrubs with print because I feel like I won't be taken serious or do my makeup.

Aaaahhhh, I still haven't received my blue card in the mail yet and it seems like everyone else has. :( We just need to have it by clinicals, right?

Yes, gotta have it before clinicals for sure. It took 10 days to get mine but that was through the Christmas holiday so that's probably longer than normal.

I hope everyone has a great semester. I'm putting myself in social media jail until summer break lol :bookworm: :nurse:
