St Philip's College LVN Spring 2015 Applicants!

Published

Hey guys! Turned in my application in the middle of October and am impatiently waiting for the end of the month when we find out if we made it. :)

Does anyone off the top of their head know the hours for the daytime program? I'm blanking and can't remember. Also, does anyone know how competitive the program is or what GPA they're accepting right now?

I got the classes back I don't get financial aid.. But she said you have to pay the day she registers you but I got the same schedule times so that is good I guess lol

Good to hear you got your classes back :)

I'm not gonna get my books until I find out for sure about PQ. My final appt is on 01/12, but if I get in they'll pay for my books. Please God let me get in to PQ. 😫😩

How was for final appointment with PQ and Did you get in

You know that as long as you keep a record of what u buy and you get into pq they can reimburse you.

They said once you start the semester they won't reimburse you

I asked one of the girls that was in there last year and she said they would just to keep your receipts but I wouldn't be able to get in there till about summer I guess they dont have any slots open for the session that is tomorow

I haven't bought much just my books all the medical supplies like pule ox, stethoscope, bp cuff, and other supplies was given to me so Idk it may not even be worth the big Hassel to try to get in later in the year

I have my certification appointment tomorrow morning and my interview/final appt with the director on Monday morning. I'm crossing and double crossing my fingers that everything goes okay...when I talked to Terry to schedule my last two appts in December, she said that while admission isn't guaranteed, they did still have slots available. I haven't bought any books yet or supplies, all I've bought is a planner off of Amazon. How do y'all know what medical supplies we'll need? Is there a list we've been sent that I missed? My friend gave me an extra [unused!] blood pressure cuff that she had but that's all I have.

Omg, I haven't even bought scrubs! We have to wear them to orientation next week, right? What color did y'all buy? lol

You have to wear scrubs to class everyday any color and yes to orientation also but they haven't have us a list of any supplies we needed

There is a short list on the website, it says "Students will be required to purchase nursing tools” such as stethoscope, bandage scissors, pen light, etc."
