St. Paul's school of nursing 2016

Published

Hey new member but very familiar to this site!! Any one applying to SPSON for the Jan 2016 class?? What did you think of the SLE exam? What should I expect from the Hesi exam? Being that this school is not Acen accredited would that make a degree from the school useless? And can you transfer to an accredited BA program once you complete St. Paul's and pass the nclex?? Interested in the program and worried at the same time!!!

How did your interview go?

Giving you guys a heads up for the interview. Dress professionally he pays close attention to your attire. Other than that be yourself. He asks you questions such as why nursing and why this school? About your background, where were you born. I personally feel he's such a nice individual. I am currently waiting for an acceptance letter or phone call (I pray) I was provided with medical forms and met with financial aid. Good luck to you all! Hope to see you in January.

OMG I can not thank you enough about test info. I am studying everyday. This math is making me crazy. I gave up on the algebra. What kind of questions were fill ins? I only went to one grammer review. Thank you for that info... Congrats on the 90, you will do great tomorrow...

I went to Queens campus location.

The school is accredited and that means you can sit for the NCLEX and obtain a license as a registered professional nurse.

The accredition they have meets the requirements of the state (I can't remember the acronym, I looked it up once because I was nervous about attending the school). However, they don't have the more prestigious national accreditation NLN or whatever it's called now.

Part of the reason for the lack of that particular accreditation is the low pass rate for students taking the NCLEX for the first time.

You have to really study in that school. It's not easy in nursing school. I studied 4 hours a day, 5 days a week. I graduated on time and passed NCLEX on the first try in 75 questions.

Most students that graduate don't have hospital experience. And then you don't have your BSN. These two are a big deal too. So you will have a hard time finding a hospital job.

Hey, RNinprogress. Are you a day student or evening

Im waiting on my acceptance call
