Hey new member but very familiar to this site!! Any one applying to SPSON for the Jan 2016 class?? What did you think of the SLE exam? What should I expect from the Hesi exam? Being that this school is not Acen accredited would that make a degree from the school useless? And can you transfer to an accredited BA program once you complete St. Paul's and pass the nclex?? Interested in the program and worried at the same time!!!
I was suppose to go, but after last week I realized that I can't review what I don't even remember. So I am studying at home going on you tube and watching all learning videos for the math, and this has ls helped so much. I want to go back to the review class when I can review my work. I was suppose to take the Hesi the 17th, I have to postpone at least 2 weeks. I can not set myself up to fail, and rush this.. We will see what happens..Good luck!!
Yes, I went on both days, they were helpful refreshed my memory a lot but I still have to study. I decided not to buy the books I am using my teas V book instead. I'm not worried about the English vocab reading part. My main concern is the math the conversion parts are killing me. I will take my test on the 17th which is next week Saturday.
I am going to review on Monday and i want to go Wed because that is focused on the conversions. Maybe that class will help you. I am so nervous as well. I go on line and look at the sample tests, and I have a problem with them and I feel guilty if I don't study a day or 2. Then I feel like I am never going to get this!! So frustrating
Hey you guys!! I am an aspiring SPSON Nursing student for The incoming 2016 day classes. I am currently going through the process of getting accepted (I hope)... I took the HESI October 8 and passed it with an overall 84%. I have an interview scheduled for October Friday 16th to meet with the schools president. For any of you waiting to take the HESI: Math: study breaking down fractions, convertions. Mostly metric to English. Percentages, word problems. You'll get about 8-9 word problems that will require you to fill in the box with the answer. English: please make sure you memorize the vocabulary in the HESI book, but also look up online "HESI vocabulary words." And study those. The book is extremely helpful for the math, but I feel that for the English you're better off studying from the HESI book and also finding sources to practice online. Don't take it if you're not prepare since you only get two try's at the exam. I hope you all get in and to see you this January!!!☺ï¸â˜ºï¸
OK all, I went in too my exam passed the math with a 90% English part a 78% I did well on the vocabulary part the reading part I thought I was running out of time so I kept rushing I am rescheduled for tomorrow 10/22. Math was not bad listen, fractions fraction and fractions...ratio ratio ratio ( wink wink) lots of fractions add, sub, mult, division ..I did not buy the book I took the info that was given to me from the review class that chart kilo Hector ect helped me, conversions...the vocabulary part most of the words that were given in that class came out some of them if you were in the medical field you might understand what the words mean but there weren't too many. Grammar make sure you read carefully questions are tricky and the spelling you have to look closely and read 2x to see the mistake if you been to the review class you'll have no issues. Good luck

Did anyone go to review today? If so how was it?
