Hi! Yes finally moved earlier this month. It’s OK LOL I’m still trying to get use to being here. My license was processed in exactly 3 weeks. I actually just started working this week I wanted to make sure I was settled and good to do before accepting any position. The pay off course it totally different from what I’m used to jn NY but the cost of living is cheap but I’m satisfied with the salary I negotiated other than that it’s not bad. I’m in the Gwinnett county.

Well recently received an update that I will have my hearing scheduled for January. I have been waiting since March2021. I would go to answer any questions that they have. Good luck with everything.

Congratulations on getting your license in GA. I guess they don’t take as long as NY does. I didn’t know they got approved during the board meeting now I guess I have to find out how often they meet. You’re right about getting all documents completed before submission it would make sense. You’re patient by not checking status LOL I check everyday even today? that’s how I found out they received my check?.

I’m not sure if you got an answer yet but I hope you went and got it done. That’s what I did I got my finger prints done then send my application. Once they receive my application the next day I got the approval to get fingerprinted which I’m not going to do. I’m still waiting for them to upload all my documents since they just got it on 7/11

Hi did you get any response from the board? I’m actually about to go through the same process NY to GA thinking of sending my application end of this week. Don’t have to move until September but didn’t want to wait last minute. I did the fingerprints I’m going to mail my card as well hopefully I won’t have to do it 2x

@AlexaaraeeeRNdon’t lose hope. I still didn’t get mine. I will contact my attorney to see if he can touch base with the prosecutor. The investigator was really nice but he won’t speak to me because I’m being represented by an attorney. Let’s just keep the faith. @SumNurseI am so happy for you because I know how the wait for so long feels and you can finally move on with your career.

Yupe I understand. Passed in December as well last week made it a year. I really wonder what does it take to get 3 people to review a report and free people who really need to be out here helping out. My interview was in March ?

@SumNurse if you went for your interview in August, it should go through a panel first before you go to a hearing if it even gets to a hearing. The panel may decide and you’ll be good to go. But before your hearing the panel has to make a decision if they’re able to and if not you’ll get a letter and the investigator will let you know what was the outcome

Once you submit your documents to the investigator he goes over it. If he feels that no further investigation is needed he sends it back to have the license process. If he feels that he needs more info you are called for an interview. He prepares the report and sends it for review. (3 board members as mentioned in the previous message) then if the members were not able to make a decision, you have the right for a hearing. That’s when the waiting starts to get annoying because you don’t know when they’ll add your case to the calendar for a hearing. Take it one day at a time. Check with the investigator to see when they can bring him in for an interview or if they’re sending his paper work back to have his license processed. Now with the Holidays who knows. First thing first email the investigator to find out if they’re even reviewing the documents you submitted. Good luck all

Hello, If you’re in NY when you apply you’ll have to answer “yes” if you have ever been arrested ( I can’t recall if that’s how the question was worded) they will allow you to take the NCLEX then if they need more info from you regarding your situation then you’ll be contacted. If not then your application will go through.

I hope things work in our favor it’s been a long journey. I know the members have a meeting every month and this month is 18 and 19th. So hopefully your file gets sent in.

Aww bless your heart!! You said it with so much patience in you. I’m runningggggg out of patience. My attorney contacted me back in September saying that they got in touch with him they’ll let us no in 2 weeks it’s gone be 2 months next week. Try to reach out to the investigator to see if anything is happening yet at least you’ll know your file is somewhere and they’re not just gone hit you with the “ I didn’t receive all of your documents”.
