St. Paul's School of Nursing - Fall 2010 Acceptance

Published

I'm curious if anybody got their acceptance letter yet?

I just recently took my entrance test - it was easy. They changed the test style. After the first test comes the HESI which I know would be more challenging. The name of the entrance test is not DET anymore. It stinks considering on the application packet it says that the test would be DET and even recommended to buy the book guide - I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, anybody applied to other nursing school aside from st.paul's?

Arg anyone waiting for their acceptance letter? What's your GPA? Are you in the morning or evening program?

orientation tommorow!! yay!

the prices the school has for the book are pretty good i wish they wouldve told us sooner

:) yippie they have xxs scrubs!

How did orientation go????? I am hoping I get in for the Jan class, can anyone give me info on class schedules and what I should expect??????

Thanks

HI JC,

I'm also trying to get in January, have you filled an application yet?

Yes I have done everything just waiting to here

I just graduated as an LPN and waiting for my application to come in the mail for St. Pauls..how was the entrance exam?

Where are you applying queens or SI? The Hesi is ok I didnt find it easy nor did I find it hard. I bought the study guide, that was a big help. The math was lots of fractions, decimals, ratios, liquid measurements and roman numerals. I found the grammar hard and the vocabulary was tricky lots of double meaning words. The reading was easy comprehension. If you study the guide you will be ok did you take the wonderlic test yet?

I'm applying in Queens. I haven't taken any tests yet..but thanks for the heads up on the HESI..what's the wonderlic test? How many entrance exams are there?

The wonderlic is the first admission test before the hesi you have 12 minutes to answer up to 40 questions and I think you need a 16 to pass. Its all about time management when I took the test I bypassed any math computation because I didnt have enough time to start working out problems just try to move very quickly I got a 25 I found this test hard.

40 questions in 12 minutes wow..lol talk about pressure..you did really well! Are you applying in SI or Queens?

maizion, just bypass the math unless it is obvious and you will be fine I did not get up to 40 I think I reached 32. I am no genius just an average B student LOL!!!!!!!!

Are there any current students out there that can tell me how there schedule is?????????
