St. Paul's School of Nursing - Fall 2010 Acceptance

Published

I'm curious if anybody got their acceptance letter yet?

I just recently took my entrance test - it was easy. They changed the test style. After the first test comes the HESI which I know would be more challenging. The name of the entrance test is not DET anymore. It stinks considering on the application packet it says that the test would be DET and even recommended to buy the book guide - I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, anybody applied to other nursing school aside from st.paul's?

Arg anyone waiting for their acceptance letter? What's your GPA? Are you in the morning or evening program?

Me to! nice to meet you, I am one of the 5 guys at the BLS class. I think it must have been 40 females to 5 guys which was kind of surprising to me, I thought male nurses were on the rise. Oh well it was't much of a surprise it was the same ratio in all my A&P and Microbio classes.

I wasn't there because I'm certified from last year.

Got it, Sundrop. I have no clue about the cost of scrubs, they shouldn't be more than $40- $45 tops. I'm sure I probably saw you in class Bluefly, but I was sitting in the front row towards the back of the class

Oh, Bluefly- clinicals will probably take place at NYHospital Flushing. The places they had clinicals closed; Mary Immaculate, St. Johns, St. Vincent. btw, I'm a day student

I already ordered my books, but do you think we will need our stethoscope and cuff by the time we start school?

I don't think so since clinicals won't be for a few more weeks. Just have all your immunizations up to date, and your books!

My friend attends another school and they were given info about the stethoscope, etc. during orientation. Maybe St. Paul's will do the same, I'm not sure. Did they mention it today?

they didnt mention anything about that. hopefully in orientation they will answer alot of questions!

What is their admissions process and do they have a website?? I can't get into contact with anyone.

Try googling St. Pauls School of Nursing
