St. Paul's School of Nursing - Fall 2010 Acceptance

I'm curious if anybody got their acceptance letter yet?

I just recently took my entrance test - it was easy. They changed the test style. After the first test comes the HESI which I know would be more challenging. The name of the entrance test is not DET anymore. It stinks considering on the application packet it says that the test would be DET and even recommended to buy the book guide - I bought it unfortunately. Anyway, anybody applied to other nursing school aside from st.paul's?

Arg anyone waiting for their acceptance letter? What's your GPA? Are you in the morning or evening program?

Do you need to be certified in CPR before you start classes?

yes, and it has to given by the American Heart Association. We just had one last week.

Did the school tell you where to go or did you have to research it yourself I am waiting to here about acceptance to the JAn class.

The school will send you correspondence regarding the CPR class. They give it at the school for all entering students.

I have a question for any current students out there, I am not sure if st pauls will accept my pre-req courses since they are on the cusp of being 5 years old, how hard are there pre-req courses, is it going to be a nightmare taking nursing courses along with pre-req I am a littlle bit concerned about this..

Well its pretty basic from what I experienced. 5 years and that's it, if you want to be 100% sure I would suggest you contacting the school to find out from them. Its not just about the difficulty, consider the money you will save. 500 per CREDIT! At the CUNY that I went to one class cost me about 500.

So find out, couldnt hurt right?

Hi guys,

Any Veeb graduates entering St.Pauls this fall? I just graduated August 13. I'm looking into this school for my RN. I have no college credits other than LPN certificate. What pre reqs are needed to apply? Good luck to all those entering this fall!
