st.pauls school of nursing spring 2014 queens waiting to hear?

has anyone received a letter of acceptance to st.pauls school of nursing for spring 2014? or any phone calls from them? this is for queens location or has anyone applied and is waiting to hear?

FURTURENPSAM i'll be praying for u! I'm in the same boat with 3 courses. Please let me know if they take them. I'll be submitting my physical & BLS paperwork. I'm so anxious!

Thanks !! I'll pray for you too if they take them it will surely make our lives easier! When are you submitting your paperwork? They gave me my letter today instead of mailing it and I was able to pick my orientation date (either January 4 or the 7th ) I went with the 4th since its morning the other one is 4:30-10:30pm or something like that.

yay i chose jan 4 too i emailed them like the letter said i got the letter yesterday so i get to meet you guys Saturday jan 4 only thing that sucks is we wont get our schedules till the 4 which sucks with my job they work around my school schedule but they wanted to know sooner since they are making the schedule for jan now only thing im waiting for is for this semester to end so i can have my transcript sent over to st.pauls for my second psy i took and literature

Yayy! I'm excited to see everyone and get our schedules finally as well. Praying that since I have two classes taken off my first semester it will make things a little better.

Sorry FUTURENPSAM, my private messaging is disabled until I reach a certain amount of post. Has anyone had success appealing classes to transfer? I took A&P at LIU but they teach Anatomy and Physiology as two separate courses and St. Paul's only took Anatomy!!! So now I have to brush up on my A&P because i'll be taking A&PII in the fall -___- I'm currently appealing my english, sociology and literature courses and I am praying to the high heavens they take them!

I applied for the January term and I am taking the hesi tomorrow. They claim there is still time for me to get into the January term. I am currently taking A&P 1 at my local community college and I have a A in the class. The admissions advisor i met with told me they cant take my A & P 1 because I dont have a&p 2 completed. This doesn't make sense to me. The school I am at now breaks a&P up into two semesters, exactly like SPSON. Did they take one of your A&P? My A&P Class ends December 18th and if i get into this program, we will start January 10th. Its so frustrating to think I am going to have to retake a class i literally just finished!!!!! Im hoping maybe the admissions adviser i met with was wrong? I also have a bachelors degree in marketing and took TONS and TONS of English classes... they are saying they cant take any because they are over 5 years. How did your appeal go? Did they accept your credits??? Sorry for all the questions!!!

I applied for the January term as well. If you dont mind me asking, were your english, psych and soc classes over 5 years old? Also, they did accept at least one of your A&P Classes? I am in A&P1 now at a local school and the lady i met with today told me they wont accept it because i dont have a&p2 completed. It doesnt make sense to me.. i'm hoping she was wrong or confused!

They took both my anatomy 1 and 2 , my English and sociology were 6 years old that's why they rejected it. When they call you In for a down payment they allow you to review which classes were accepted and you can either agree and sign or ask for an appeal. My appeal is still being reviewed but I am truly hoping they take my sociology and English .

Good luck on your hesi exam.. I'm surprised they are still accepting for January , classes are right around the corner but there is still about a 4 week window so I guess there is time .

Doesn't make sense to me why they wouldn't accept your a&p 1 and just have you take a&p 2 there.? May just be a misunderstanding . I took a&p 1 and a&p2 in two different semesters receiving an A in both and thank god they accepted (less them 2 years old.) I couldn't imagine retaking something I already did ! In my school you had to pass 1 in order to get to 2 so that wouldn't make sense at all

I know! I have been studying so hard all semester id hate to have to retake it. I'm going to call tomorrow and try to get more answers. Thanks for your response :)

First let me say: "Congratulations to ALL" for your major accomplishment. Making it into NS. Sending blessing on your journey, moving fwd! Now let me say, this is exactly WHY I didn't move fwd with applying to SPSON. I went into an open house session in 2012 (before they relocated to Qns Blvd)...heard the curriculum shpeel etc and wasn't impressed. Still took their 10min test and passed. After sitting with one of the counselors, he tells me "he's NOT sure if they can accept my Chem 105 because blah blah blah...can't honestly remember why. But why not?....((squinting my eyes)) foolishness...

That was the first time hearing that from ANY NYC school I attempted to apply to. All that I've applied to stated they'd take everything and that all I needed were the core NUR classes moving fwd. SPSON is in it for the $$$ and this is coming from a pre-NUR Student that had taken everything (pre-req wise) under the sun necessary to get into a program. Not fair at all...what does not taking one A&P yet have to do with the other? English classes NEVER expire. Too many hoops. Gosh, grinds my gears...hope it works out for you guys.

Thanks !! Where do you go now ? Things have changed they no longer have chem as a pre req it wouldn't have mattered anyhow cause I have taken those too above a b. SPSON is actually better than some schools I went to.. Asa for instance told me they wouldn't take none which mean I would have to straight from scratch which I found ridiculous I can say there in for the money but SPSON took all my sciences and allowed me to appeal my English and sociology and I have faith in my God that it will be accepted. I guess they put a time limit on it because people forget after a while, just like after 10years all most your classes on your transcript will not be transferable .
