Hi, Kd0403...I also took the hesi exam on wednesday. I did well on the english, but I missed math by a few points and have to retake the math portion. How did you do??

I am applying to the evening program.

1.Will it start Fall 2011?

2.Does anyone take public transportation in the evening program? I will be taking the 7 train. How is the walk for a young woman like me? I looked in google earth n it looks lonely and not like a good neighborhood.

3.is it true that the school will be moving locations?

4.Are evening classes everyday? 5 days a week?

5. What is the entrance exam called? Is it Hesi.

For those that are in what score did you receive in the HESI? What were your prereq grades? I have Bs. I also have a bachelors with a GPA of about 2.6-is this horrible?

Thanks!

Gina, wondering-you had 90s in english but what did u get in math?

I am applying to the evening program.

1.Will it start Fall 2011? Yes around the last week in August ( I also will be attending)

2.Does anyone take public transportation in the evening program? I will be taking the 7 train. How is the walk for a young woman like me? I looked in google earth n it looks lonely and not like a good neighborhood. -I drive but the 7 train is no where around there. It is in Collge Point. You will have to take a bus also (not sure which one).

3.is it true that the school will be moving locations? _ Haven't heard this but if so hopefully not too far:)

4.Are evening classes everyday? 5 days a week? -yes, if I'm not mistaken 4:30 -10:30 (or 11)

5. What is the entrance exam called? Is it Hesi. Yes

Thanks!

Oh and make sure you are CPR certified before you begin. I will be taking that class sometime soon.

:)

Hi,

I have a question for the students who are currently attending St Paul's. I am really interested in the school but am worried about the NLN accreditation. I am calling the school just to simply ask the Dean of Nursing if the school is pending being accredited but I cannot get past the receptionist. He is pretty rude.

I am not trying to start a dilemma however my plan is just to get my RN so I can attend Columbia's MSN program there after with using my non nursing Bach.

So my question to the students is if you know if the school is going to soon be accredited? I don't understand why they cannot answer this simple question with a Yes or a No.

Thanks :-)

hi,

yes the school is NLN accredited but just under st vincents name. they r in the process of getting the name changed.

Hey thanks!

Can I ask you if your enrolled? I called the NLN and asked if they were pending and the person on the phone just said that no they are not NLN accredited. :-(

btw if your enrolled can you briefly tell me how you find the classes and your experience with them?

Also if getting accepted is difficult? oh and thanks for replying quickly

Is there a chair here I can speak to?:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Saint Vincent's nursing programs in both Queens and Richmond (Staten Island) have ceased to exsist, are gone, kaput, finished, pushing up flowers...., and whatever status they had from the NLN went with them. There is no such thing as "taking over" a closed school's accreditation status. Saint Paul's will have to file the required paperwork and go through the process to obtain anything from the NLNAC

You can go over to the NLN website and look for yourself: http://www.nlnac.org/Forms/directorySearch.asp

Both Saint Vinny's programs are no longer listed, and there is *NOTHING* about Saint Paul's even applying for status.

Chair person?! really? I can't even get past the reception guy who btw is not very nice. I left a message for the Dean of nursing and its been about a week and no reply. I guess I wont even bother with the school. Ill try NYU's accelerated program for 15 months and get a BSN.
