U.S.A. California

I have an interview today with St. Joseph's providence hospital in burbank, ca. I have never been to this hospital and was wondering if anyone could tell me how the hospital is and if it was a good environment to work in.

Thanks!

Did you apply for St. Josephs? Or a different Providence? When I applied for Holy Cross I was asked questions about unit I wanted to be, on schooling, why I wanted to be a nurse, nothing to deep. For PSJMC I was just called for an interview. Hope that helps

Specializes in Oncology/MedSurg.

I applied to Tarzana, Holy Cross (mission hills), San Pedro, and Torrance. Thank you for the info. I am praying that I get invited to interview to at least one of them.

five10fevr,

Did you get to interview for PHCMC? If so, what was the interview process like? What kind of questions did they ask?

I am patiently awaiting for a phone call as well. I believe right now they are only calling for the Epic Implementation Technician position.

Yes, I did get an interview at PHCMC. All the interview questions were situational. Tell me a time when... I wasn't prepared for that type of interview :( I was much better prepared when I interviewed at PSJMC even though the questions were different. I goggled behavioral interview questions to help me.

Specializes in Trauma-Surgical, Case Management, Clinic.

I believe providence is having a job fair tomorrow Aug 24th for new grad BSN and experienced nurses for those of you interested.

five10fevr: Congratulations on getting an interview with PHCMC! May I ask for your input on how you were offered an interview? Did you get an initial call and then a second call for the interview or were you offered an interview on the first call? If you did get 2 calls, can you tell me the approximate time delay in between calls? I rec'd a prelim call last Tuesday and am anxiously waiting by the phone...as my profile still says under consideration. I would love any feedback, thank you!

Hi Otterpopp!!!

I had to calls. One from the HR assistant asking the prelim questions and the next was from the Nurse HR gentlemen. It took almost 2 weeks before I got the call for my interview. If they do it the same as last cohort it goes by units. I know med/surg was done interviewing and hired before my interview date was even given. I applied to Mother/baby. Just keep checking your profile online. Hope that helps
