St. Joseph's Providence Hospital?

U.S.A. California

Published

I have an interview today with St. Joseph's providence hospital in burbank, ca. I have never been to this hospital and was wondering if anyone could tell me how the hospital is and if it was a good environment to work in.

Thanks!

Hello All! I also got accepted! I am be in the Ortho unit! I emailed with --------------- today and she confirmed that change in start date to the 17th. She said she is waiting to hear back from the Clinical Education Dept. regarding the agenda. She will update us once she gets it. Also, when I signed my paperwork I asked about what to wear and she said scrubs were good!

Congrats to all!

Thanks for the update and congrats!!

Do we still need to contact our managers as instructed in the last email? I haven't contacted mine yet because I got that email on the same day HR called about the date change. Should I just wait for further instruction since they don't even know the new agenda yet?

Thanks!

I haven't contacted my unit manager either. I'll give her a call on Monday I guess. Just to be safe.

Welcome SnappyApple! Congrats on also being selected for the new grad program.

Our new 2 week count down has started. Any new information today. Nothing on my end.

Thanks five10fevr! No news here either! I will definitely let you know if I hear something.

The application was open Monday around 11 am till Tuesday night. People who inquired through email prior, received an email stating it was open on a first come first serve basis. A lot people I know missed our on applying.

I have my interview the following week and I am wondering what questions they will be asking.

When I interviewed for Holy Cross in Feb it was all behavioral questions. Tell me a time when.....

I guess it is best to prepare for both types of questions.

Does anyone know how many applications they received? I hear they have 20 spots open :)

Do you mind me asking if you are an ADN or BSN nurse? Man, I wish I would have known the app was open back then!

I am an ADN but started my BSN last month.

I hope we get the official schedule tomorrow! Its nerve-racking waiting, I just want to feel like everything is all set and ready to go! I emailed HR last week, and she was still waiting to get the schedule!

I a right there with you hoping to get official schedule tomorrow. I also emailed HR last week and was told the same thing. Have you been in contact with your nurse manager? I was thinking about trying to touch base with her again now that our start date is closer.

I spoke with my nurse manager a few weeks back to get the schedule for my second week. She told me that she would have all that information along with my preceptor, etc during orientation. Hope that may be helpful.

Also, I was wondering if anyone has been able to access their ProvConnect yet to set up their direct deposit, health benefits, etc? I called the IT helpline and they said they would provide my login during orientation. I was wondering if anyone may have been able to set up theirs already.

The schedule was just sent out!

Thank you for the reply regarding setting up our schedule with our managers. I think IT is right we get all our login information on the first day of orientation. I believe we have 31 days to pick our health benefits ect.

Thanks SnappyApple I got my schedule too. It seems so official :) Looks like we will be in the classroom a lot which is good.

How were you guys invited for the interview? Phone or email? Do they conduct phone interviews to screen out who to invite for panel interviews or do they just call and invite you for the panel? What were the questions for the phone interview if you don't mind? Thank you.
