Spring 2018: UT Health Science Center Houston

Published

Hey ya'll!

I am an applicant who applied to UT Health Science center for the Fall of 2017. I found the allnurses forum so useful for all of the students that were currently going through the same process was.

I wanted to start another forum for the next year for all the applicants so they were able to share ideas, stats, background etc.

So i'll start:

HESI A2:

A&P 80

Math 98

Grammar 94

Reading 92

Vocab 96

I have a previous degree from Texas State University in Psychology (Bachelors).

Science GPA: 3.812

Nursing Pre-req: 3.512

Cumulative (155hrs): 3.2

I hope this helps and you get as much out of this as I did. I met some really awesome people on here who are all on the journey to becoming great nurses. Don't hesitate to say hi!

If/when we get accepted, what are y'all going to do about housing?

I don't know! I am worried about that. I don't know anyone applying

Posts like this just remind me of how old I amí ½í¸¯ I guess I could tell my wife and kids I'm moving out to bunk with a classmate.

Whatever lol

I only ask because UTH has campus housing, but their waiting list resets the first two weeks in January and we'd be competing with medical students, dental students, other nursing students, faculty, and whatever other students who are attending one of UTH's schools. Plus our semester would start right after or during the new wait list being prepared. Soo...

Do we need to get fingerprinted if we get accepted?

Yes you will.

Yes you will.

Dont really care about finger printing but can I ask why they do that?

Hello everyone, I just took my HESI Test last thursday and sent in all my transcripts. However, the HESI exam and transcripts are still labeled as "to-do" on my list. I called UTHealth and they said they have my transcripts and that my scores should be fine since I took it under their code. I submitted the application before I took the HESI exam so I left that part blank but they also said it was okay. Should I call again to re-check or just leave it alone since the person I talked to on the phone said I was okay. Is there anything else I need to do for this application? (I turned in an application, transcripts, and HESI). Sorry and thank you! I have no friends going into nursing so I am by myself.
