Starting thread for TCC nursing students submitting application in a few weeks for the Spring 2017 semester ADN program. Personally, I have followed and watched and reviewed entrances over the year and it changes upon fall and spring semesters and the amount of applicants. I will be applying with two A's in A&P and Micro and a B in A&P2, so my GPA is a 3.6.... My first HESI score is a 87.5. I have seen acceptance with this, and have contemplated retaking HESI just to see if I do any different.
Comment and ask any questions and I hope to see you all in Spring!
I talked to someone today. She said she is doing her best to get acceptances out by the end of day. If not today, it will be next week because she won't be in the office tomorrow. It sounds as though there is only one person responsible for sending out emails.
So by end of the day do you think they mean 5 when the nursing office closes?
I'm really just trying to get through this day, so what does everyone wish to specialize in once they become an RN?:)
No biggie my peeps...we've waited this long...just a few more hours..I am confident so I'm not worried and I'll let you know soon!!! And I'll stay in surgery being RNFA or go into OR manager.

I know for sure I would like to do Pediatrics. I have a few specialties I am interested in. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at 16 and through that experience is how I decided I wanted to pursue nursing. So working at Cooks in the endocrinology unit would be a dream! I also volunteered at Cooks for 2 years in the hematology/oncology unit and absolutely loved it. The kids, the atmosphere, everything was just amazing. So I definitely wouldn't mind ending up there either. No matter what, I would love to work at cooks. Eventually I want to become a pediatric nurse practitioner:)
