Spring 2011 Sem. State and UCF-SSC Concurrent Program

anyone else here looking to get into either seminole state's spring 2011 program or the concurrent as-bsn ucf-ssc concurrent program for spring 2011? i will be applying soon myself, and would like to see if there are other such applicants on here. maybe we can help each other! :nurse:

Hi, I just put my application for the UCF/SSC Concurrent program.

I'm so excited!!! I was number 139 this afternoon , but they will take applications till tomorrow 2pm.

If they are going by whoever finished pre-reqs early then I'll be out

because I finished mine this summer.

My GPA is 3.8

and my TEAS score was only 77.3 %

Good for you! 139? That's good, I thought there would be more by now. Maybe we will be lucky. I finished this summer too so I am just hoping they changed their criteria a bit since they are now giving more seats to the concurrent applicants. I already have a place with the Valencia program but not until August so I am keeping my fingers crossed that I get into this one... Good luck everyone.

Yeap! that was the number for the ALT campus - they also taking applications in SLM campus and Heathrow. I also have a place for Valencia but starts Spring 2012 - That's a long time to wait specially at my age...ha...ha...

When I put my application in the signed up sheet I could see about 10 names and 6 of them were for concurrent the other 4 where just SSC RN.

I was surprised to see not everyone was going for concurrent

which gives us more chances : )

I applied for the concurrent program for spring 2011, I was number 17 dropped off app at Oviedo campus

I have a 3.4 gpa, w a 78 on the teas, finished my prereqs spring 2010.

Here's praying I get in..if I don't I am going to apply for ucf accelerated bsn that starts summer 2011.

what day did you apply if I may ask...

I hear the accelerated program is very competitive also. If I have to wait until August, does anyone have any suggestions as what to do as far as other classes to take that would relate to nursing? I have an appointment with an advisor but figured may be some of you are in the same situation. Not allowed to take nursing classes but perhaps there are others that would count towards a higher degree later on...

Hi everyone!!! Just wanted to say Good Luck to all of us trying for Jan. '11. I'm in the same situation as most of you. GPA 4.0, finished in Spring 2010, and got 77.3 on TEAS. If only we knew what the applicant pool looked like....

I did however get an e-mail from UCF just saying that they had rec'd my application, and that decision letters would go out in 4-6 weeks.

Just think we have already survived one of those weeks!!!!!

I'm starting to get very nervous!! : )

Hoping to get a letter this week!

I also got 2 e-mails from UCF confirming they got my application

plus 1 email from Seminole state/UCF

asking me to follow up with UCF orientation, immunizations and see advisor,

but I'm not doing any of that until I get the word that I'm in.

I will post as soon as I find out!!!!:lol2:

Just FYI, I heard from another student that someone in one of her classes got a regret letter last week, and that person also knows of someone else who also got a regret letter. Not sure what's up with that? Maybe they send out regret letters first then acceptance letters?

Oh boy, I checked my mail today and got 2 letters from SSC - I got so excited!!

1 letter was to inform me about AA graduation details, gown...etc.

and another one was to tell me "We received your diploma application for the AA degree.

We noticed that you are short 6 credits in SCIENCE and MATHEMATICS" uhggg...

Really? people are starting to get letters!!

I apply with 2 other girls - I told them to let me know as soon as they know

and I will post.
