Spring 2022 Nursing Program at Suffolk county community college

Published

Hello, all future nursing students! I am creating this forum early as I made the last forum for the FALL 2021 program. I found that this is very helpful for questions and to have a support system going through this journey. I am a current Suffolk student that is finished with all of the prerequisites except Micro. I planned to apply for the fall 2021 program but I did not get the grade I needed on the TEAS to apply so I am back at it! Never give up and keep positive! If anyone has any suggestions or helpful resources feel free to comment as this forum is for support! Thanks

I did! I found them helpful, got an 89 overall first time ?

awesome thanks! I wanted to ask before I spent the money :-).. and great job!!

Thank you ? you can do it! Just do a little every day and it’ll be enough to get where you want to be ?? I’m awaiting decision for Spring but I’m hopeful ?

you got this!!

Which package did you buy? I've been using the Mometrix Study Guide book along with Youtube videos.

You need to score at least advanced .. I spoke to nursing department and this past year they had the most applicants they ever had so the higher the better

I was told 78 and higher, but with it being so competitive I know it would be better getting an 80 or higher.

I purchased the ATI smart prep, with the book. I also utilized mometrix and Youtube and any other resource I could find ?I did find the smart prep challenging but it definitely prepared me for the exam! It lets you practice each section with additional examples and questions.

Hey everyone!! Has anyone here completed all of their prerequisites??

I’m taking Microbiology and one more history in the fall and I will be done by the Spring! Finally

I have! Im just awaiting decision in September ??

Hi everyone! I graduated Suffolk's LPN program this past may, took the NCLEX in June, and just took the TEAS today! Once I get my TEAS score (I used a PSI site so within 48 hours) I will be applying for the 2022 LPN-RN bridge program. I'm currently taking a Summer class to fulfill my last prerequisite, so I'll have them all completed going into the program. Best of luck to everyone!

Hi guys! Really sorry if this is a sore subject (and feel free to ignore), but I'd love to know what scores are competitive to get into SCCC. For those of you who are reapplying, what rubric score did you have the first time around?

I applied to both the LPN Spring start program and then the RN fall start program. I got accepted to both (ended up sticking with LPN since I was already a semester in). I got accepted to the RN program with a rubric score of 76 which was before I completed the prereqs. Now I'm applying to the bridge program with all of my prereqs, just waiting on my new TEAS score (just took it today) - will update with my new rubric score in a few days!
