My journey started from cna, lpn now,I applied for spring 2018 nursing bridge program. I am looking forward to what it has to offer and the challenges ahead. Anything is possible if you work hard and be persistence in reaching every goal you set for yourself. Always keep a positive mind.
@khaner19 Sorry I took so long to reply. You have a pretty good chance at getting in as well! I'm hoping for the full-time program. I would rather take the extra semester lol
Which program did you apply for? A friend of mine started the full-time program last year and said pretty much everyone she knew had a composite score in the 80s. Hopefully ours is the same!
I asked because I took MGF1106 (I hate math and I saw MDC started to accept mgf) but as always I'm paranoid and I was wondering if anyone is on the same boat. This semester I'm taking micro lab bc I didn't have a chance to take it over the summer and I'm going to see if I can get into a sociology class today, in order to have that done for the bsn program. Just like @jenneraytion, I'm not ready for fall semester lol.
I feel the same way! I took MGF 1106 as well. I asked two different people and was on the phone when they transferred the class over to my mdc transcript from my other school. Fingers crossed, but we should be fine!

I have some friends that are going through the program currently and say that it's cheaper to get scrubs from a place that is located across med campus. It's significantly cheaper.
I was enrolled for MAC1105 this semester for my back-up school, but I did much better than I thought I would on the HESI and ended up with a cumulative score of a 95, so I am definitely not taking an extra math for no reason!! Anyways, the advisor saw my Fall schedule w/o looking through my transcripts first and she looks over at me and says "You do know you need to take this class before you apply, right?" and I was like "WHAT?!" I completely freaked out, but then I explained that I have a previous math class and that the MDC website says "College Algebra (or higher level MAC or MGF college level Math course. Course must be considered College level by MDC." She went ahead and asked the supervisor and she told me I was right, either way before I enrolled into MGF, I passed by medical campus to see if they accepted it for the nursing program and they assured me it did. Our applications were turned in, so I know were fine! It's just the paranoia. October feels light years away

Excuse my French but I would've **** myself if my counselor told me that!
Oh trust me I did!! Right after I explained the situation, she left for a couple of minutes to see if I was right about the whole math pre-req and I was sweating bullets. She came back and told me that everything was fine and the nursing supervisor told her that I was right, but talk about my nerves going through the roof. I don't understand how an advisor wouldn't know the pre-reqs to a program like the back of her hand.
