Spring 2018 MDC Nursing Program

My journey started from cna, lpn now,I applied for spring 2018 nursing bridge program. I am looking forward to what it has to offer and the challenges ahead. Anything is possible if you work hard and be persistence in reaching every goal you set for yourself. Always keep a positive mind.

My logic was the same as yours but I was fortunate to meet with someone from financial aid who told me to put 2nd year bc the program is an AS program. So, even if this is your 1st year at MDC, this isn't your 1st year in the program. It's assuming that our 1st year was the pre-nursing year and the 2nd year will be the ASN year.

I received the same error message as you and jenneraytion, but after correcting #29 & #30 my SAR was finally processed.

Thanks so much for this. I literally grabbed my laptop so that I could make these corrections. I want everything that I can get done early taken care of so that MDC doesn't have me running around like a headless chicken.

Thanks so much for the info. I changed it so hopefully everything goes smoothly. I pray that they send the first wave of letters on time. I know with the hurricane other schools like FIU and NOVA are behind with their interviews. I'm not sure whether its a good or a bad thing that MDC doesn't do interviews. I personally think my interview skills are strong and I can be more than a piece of paper with a gpa and HESI score. Anyways three more weeks!!! I've never seen a month go by so slow before.

I applied for the nursing program on septeber 1st and still have not received any notification if i was accepted or not . Have you received anything?

I think they start sending emails in mid october. I just check the mdc evolve site and i see Hesi dates extend all the way to the 1st of november. I hope its not an extended date.

I don't think it's an extension. From what I understand you can take the HESI whenever.

I thinks is a good idea to do only the cpr class now before the acceptance email and then do all the other requierents

Where can we do the CPR class?

You can go online to american heart association and look for the nearest place to take the class is about 75$

I'm going to be so broke in Oct. I wish MDC would have it free for students, tuition and books alone are so much.

If you google paramount training there's a location in fort Laud that offers cpr class for $50.
