Spring 2015 MANE programs

Published

It's about time to start applying to the spring 2015 MANE programs. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is applying. I thought it would be nice to have a place where we could come together and chat about our scores, the application process, and the anguish of waiting for our acceptance letters.

I'm planning on applying to Century and Inver Hills. I would prefer Century, just because it's right down the street from my house.

Anyone else applying for spring?

i wouldnt worry. You'll definitely get in with that score.

I'm hoping. I'm not sure if the Fall 2014 group overachieved, or if they underachieved due to how new the program was/is. No one knew how competitive it was going to be. Either way, I'm cautiously optimistic. My gut tells me I have better than an 80 percent chance of making it, but I don't want to convince myself I'll get in then be devastated if I don't make it.

Good luck to everyone else who applied as well!

We are almost the same. I have the same the same teas score as you have and the same GPA, but I applied to NCC (first choice) and ARCC (second choice).

Anyway, as you said, I am worried whether or not the Spring 2015 applicants will overachieve or not. I have a strong feeling that it will be much more competitive this time round. Looking at the number of people who are reapplying with better teas scores and those new applicants, I think that it's going to be tough to get in even with a 12.

But still, colleges vary in their competitiveness; a 12 at IHCC might get accepted while a 12 at NCC might not.

Altogether, I hope you get accepted SmartnDumb! :>//

Now, here comes the long, boring wait until July 15!

Count down: 6 weeks

I applied at Inver Hills for the second time. Didn't get in the 1st time around. Hoping this time will be better. My combined score is 11.53. Hope that is enough this time....Nervous!

Someone else on this board said they got into NHCC with an 11.14 for the Fall. I had an 11.13

I'm also worried about how this applicant pool is looking. I bet a lot of people who didn't get in last time retook the TEAS and got higher scores, making it more competitive. I just hope I get in with my 11.47

What a great teas score! Is your current GPA for your pre-req 3.0?

Are you applying to the same colleges this time round or are there other ones? I am looking for students who applied to either NCC or ARCC?

And now we wait.

I hope I submitted all my materials correctly. Being a transfer is confusing.

Yup I've got a 3.0 GPA. And yeah I'm applying to the same schools; NHCC and IHCC

Aaah, time is moving so slow...

Anyone have ideas for things to do before June 15th?

Currently, I am sort of studying my anatomy, physiology, and microbiology.

Right now I'm taking A&P 2, so that will keep me busy through the beginning of July. Then I'll only have about a week to do nothing but stress over getting that letter.

Hi everyone! I applied to IHCC for Spring 2015 too. Extremely nervous because I heard its competitive. I have a 4.0 and an 84 on the TEAS. Any chance they'll let us know before July 15?

Hi! I understand why you're nervous. But I really have to say that you should'nt worry of not getting accepted with your 4.0 GPA and 84 teas score. You're a very strong applicant.

But as I said earlier, who knows whether the Spring 2015 applicants will overachieve or not? In my opinion, it is going to be more competitive than before.

I don't think so. In fact, because of the large number of applicants, they may contact us few days after July 15th.

Don't count on them responding even one day earlier than they should. They seriously took their sweet time for Fall 2014 admissions. Most people got their letter on the exact date, if not, a few days AFTER. Don't get your hopes up waiting around that mailbox!
