It's about time to start applying to the spring 2015 MANE programs. I'm sure I'm not the only one here who is applying. I thought it would be nice to have a place where we could come together and chat about our scores, the application process, and the anguish of waiting for our acceptance letters.
I'm planning on applying to Century and Inver Hills. I would prefer Century, just because it's right down the street from my house.
Anyone else applying for spring?
About 15 days left (to July 15th)
Btw, I have been worried about having made a mistake in my application form. After taking a look at it (copy), I realized that I forgot to write the name of my pre-req courses including the elective course. I hope they can access all my courses from their system because I took all my courses at NCC. Would anyone recommend contacting the nursing department dean about this issue? It's quite late for this probably - just two weeks remaining until notification date.
Any suggestions?
I am excited to read that some of the other CC in the MANE program do twice a year starts. I'm going to Riverland, and I will be applying in Jan for Fall 2015 start. (they only offer that once a year start) so if I don't get in there, then I'll look at the other CC as well to apply for a spring 2016 start.
So I contacted the dean of nursing about my mistake. I was glad to hear from her today. She said in a terse manner that she would add this information to my application.
I don't know if I am just getting nervous because its just 14 days to July 15th, but her reply seemed so objective and neutral. Now I feel like I can't wait anymore.
This feeling of urgency...
I held off my nervousness on hearing back on my application until now. I am concerned about the policy at IHCC that you can take the TEAS 2 time each application period. I just think the overall scores are going to be significantly higher for admission. I have a 3.71 GPA and an 82.7 TEAS. So, 11.98 overall. Average at IHCC last time was 12.05. I bet the average goes up, but I am worried that it will go over my score with the change to the rule. I hope everyone that has commented on here will get in, but I am reserved. Anyone have any insight as to what waitlist numbers got in last time. I see a lot of people applied to more than 1 school.
Is there any one who got their letters of whether they were accepted yet. In NCC's academic catalog, it states that "]Applicants will be notified in writing on or before March 15 for fall semester and July 15 for fall semester."
So, I thought there might be a chance of them notifying us before time.

I got a letter from Century today. I knew it was way too early for an acceptance letter, so I started freaking out. I was sure it was something saying I messed up my application and I would have to wait another semester to apply.
Turned out they were just letting me know I made the dean's list for spring semester. Thanks for making my heart stop, Century.
