I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!
Submit the titer results and they should send a message telling you what to do. Also, I would ask someone from the nursing department at the college.
That's what I'm already doing but I was asking if someone had a similar situation and what they did or if their booster was fine. But thanks for your input!
Has anyone ever been negative or equivocal for a titer & not have previous immunization records? I was equivocal for measles and I already got the booster shot but don't have previous immunization records so I don't know what to do or if just the booster would suffice.
I was negative for my measles. I only had record for 1 out of the 2 MMR vaccines.
I had to get the 2 dose series all over again.
I reached out to Loftin and she told me exactly what is already stated on castle branch.
You have to get the series all over again.
There has to be proof of the MMR (2 series) vaccination given before the negative or equivocal titer and then a booster administered after the negative or equivocal titer.
Unfortunately, you have to get the doses 28 days apart and then it takes your body 10-14 days to build the antibodies.
Good luck!

I've been emailing Valerie and she told me that I can get the titer redone after getting the booster to see if my immunity has changed. She didn't mention getting the whole series redone... -_- that's kinda annoying. I would've done that by now if I knew that was an option.

If your titer comes back positive then you should be fine, but my levels didn't change after I got my booster. I ended up having to re-do the series. I hope your titer comes back positive! I get my results back tomorrow and I'm hoping for the same.

Idk how old you are but my highschool keeps records for so many years! You can call them and Ask. My mom didn't have my shot records...luckily I went to the clinic my mom took me to growing up and they had them.

I'm sure some doctor office gave you your measles vaccines when you were little! They were and still are required to be in any type of daycare or school. (Unless you are anti vaccine and write something..Anywho I'm sure you aren't...so somewhere out there someone has your shot record...ask your mom clinics or dr offices she took you to growing up...they will still have it on file)

Sorry for posting so much. You really don't havs the time for a titer and I did the same thing as you. I got my booster shot thinking I would pass a titer if I took it two weeks after. But nope...I got equivocal.. so then I had to get ANOTHER measles shot because they want one dated AFTER the failed or equivocal titer.... BUT the doc office wouldn't give me another one until 26 days later. (Yes it's supposed to be 28...but they said 26 is the EARLIEST you can get another one)... you need to get that ASAP if you are eligible! Txt me if you need help 281432963four
Does anyone know what to do if you submitted a CPR card that would expire during the program but you already got the renewed one but you cant cancel the previous one directly on the website for the new one? Plus the new eCard doesnt require you to sign anything on it so do we just make our own signature
