I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!
Yes professors are great when it comes to guiding you while applying. In fact, I am in the process of applying to jobs right now!Yes, most hospitals have these programs for new graduate nurses which help you transition into the unit you are applying to. They are usually a year long. All new graduate residency programs will hire you even if you don't have your license yet. You just have to have it by the start of you job date. Hope that helps!
So this may be a dumb question, the graduate residency program is once you graduate correct? & how long is that?

Yes! you will start the residency program once you graduate and obtain your license. You will already be working as an RN, but you will have support from your preceptor and overall program. The goal is to help transition new nurses so they are not just thrown into the working environment without proper training. They are usually a year long, but can be shorter.
I just received an email. I'm not sure if it means I was accepted. It gave me requirements to the ADN program but idk if all alternates got it. It also has castlebranch information? I just emailed Valerie back to see. Anybody get this email?
I got that email this morning also. It's just the checklist we have to complete in case we are accepted.

All the alternates will receive the same emails that the accepted students get. I contacted Valerie about Cyfair and she said that they're going to do orientation at a later date, but only for officially accepted students.
