Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls

Published

I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!

Don't be discouraged Crystal!!!!! I am trying to not get discouraged as well! The suspense is something else though!!!

I didn't get a ferpa email!

What did it say about ferpa? Are you missing something? That may be why they haven't sent out letters yet...maybe some people still haven't submitted the proper documents

I got the ferpa e-mail today too. It's not anything to sign it's just info about ferpa...and I know mine was right on my app because I did my app with Mrs. Sue, the nursing advisor at Kingwood. The form also says 2016-2017 which is really strange.

But yeah...seems like they're sending everything out little by little. Hopefully tomorrow is the big day. I can't deal anymore...

Crystal you have one of the best scores on here. I'm sure if I got the email, yours is on its way.

What time did you get it?

Wondering about all of these emails. It's making me nervous that I haven't received one yet. Applied to KW as my first choice with a 7.744. I do know that I have the FERPA form in my inbox from the Spring semester of this year. It's when I started taking some of my prereqs. Curious if those who did receive those had ever been emailed the form in the past from Lone Star? Anyone from KW get the fingerprinting email? Hoping we hear something soon!

I got it yesterday at 12:12 pm

I have a 7.664 and cyfair was my 1st choice

I applied a year ago with a really low score ( I didn't know any better at the time) I had a 6.3 overall score. I did not get the fingerprint email but I did receive the denial letter so this is new for me.

Wow! Look how much you brought up that score!!! That's amazing! Good for you! It's ok my mom always says things happen for a reason, it may have not been the right time for you to go. In February I scored a 73 on the A&P section of my HESI so I wasn't able to retake it before applications closed and I was really upset I couldn't apply for fall start. Well, In July I ended up having surgery on my sinuses because I couldn't breath, it was literally hard to run or do any type of exercise, and also my headaches were unbearable.. Then can you believe a week and a half later my appendix decided to give out on me. So went into surgery to remove that. Two surgeries in one month! Then I had a bad infection from my first surgery because I wasn't properly caring for it after my appendectomy. I'm actually STILL on antibiotics and recovering because the infection was pretty bad in my nose. Anyways, I'm glad now that I actually didn't apply for fall because I don't think I could've even managed to go to school.

Wow that is alot.. I'm so glad you are doing better and it will be that much sweeter when those acceptance letters roll out. And I completely agree it wasn't my time.

Dang lol I didn't get a ferpa email or a identogo email.

I haven't gotten a FERPA email either.

I don't think we should be reading much into any of these emails at this point honestly. The only one that matters is going to be the one that tells us "Congratulations, welcome to our program!".

After two days of being on edge, I had a good day today by not thinking or obsessing over the threads and my email.

Granted my youngest is pretty sick at the moment and requiring a whole of momma time, so that doesn't leave me with the time to check. Still, I feel good & refreshed & know that the emails WILL come.

:D

Hang in there everybody, another day behind us is another day closer to acceptance.

Tomorrow makes 2 weeks, hopefully that's the day for good news. Fingers crossed!
