I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!
Oh wow, that seems to be kind of quick!
Well the only reason it took so long last year was because everything got postponed because of Harvey. But the year before that, in the 2017 spring forum, applications closed on 9/9 and the letters were sent out on 9/21. So I'm hoping we will hear something within a week or two.

The dosage calculation quizzes consist of conversion (ml to oz; ml to tsp, etc). Also, percentages to decimals and proportions. So like x/15=35/500 (not a real problem but you get it) lol a lot of the math stuff was actually on the HESI that you will use in pharm. I took it in person in the spring and was my favorite class! I took it with a&p 2 as well and still made an A. It's pretty easy. Also, in nursing...ditch the flash cards! How I studies was I would read about a class of medications and then a few hours later write down everything I can remember about it. Keep doing this until you know it. And you don't have to know every medication by heart...when studying the classes, most of the time the ending will be the same. For example, penicillins will end in cillin...Ace inhibitors end in pril, etc.
