Spring 2019 Lone Star Hopefuls

I've decided to make this page for anyone applying for the Spring 2019 ADN program at Lone Star CF/K. I'm so nervous and it's still kinda far away! Good luck!

Hey does anyone know if we're still required to submit a physical copy of applications? I submitted everything online by the deadline but I had no idea about the physical one until I started obsessively reading these forums

I turned my application in weeks ago and no one mentioned anything about submitting paper as well. In fact, in the instructions, I think they mentioned it being it only being an electronic application. If I'm not mistaken, this happened with the change from the pre-req scoring system. I did everything under CF nursing department advice and never once was told to also send in a paper version.

No. They stopped doing this in 2015 or 2016...

Has anyone taken ------------------- for Pharmacology? I see that there is a late start class available and I didn't realize we could take it before RN school. I can't find anything on rate my prof and it is online.

I haven't taken the person who's name is redacted. currently i'm taking C from NH who also has an online as well, who allows us to just work online and come in person for exams. sorry I couldn't help on that end. however, what i wanted to say is that there are other classes that are in the nursing program that you can pull down as well. Currently i'm taking medical microbiology (dunno if they have a late start for that one) and also lifespan, which lone star doesn't require but other CC's do and you will need it for your BSN. if you haven't taken those, i would look into those as well. might was well pull these classes down while you can.

pharm for one is one i would have hated to take in nursing school. medmicro, not so bad, but it's definitely easier having it now. also a&p ii as well.

Thanks, I didn't know you can't put names oops. Now I know... but thanks for the input! There aren't any late start micro, but I didn't realize you can take Lifespan either! Geez. I need to get on it. Thanks again!

I'm currently taking that professor (i saw in the email) and there should be a rate my professor on her. So far, i like her class (im taking regular)

I am so nervous and i am really hoping I get in! I have an a in anatomy and an a in English! I got an 840 on my critical thinking. My final score for lonestar was a 7.328 according to the website! My first choice was CF! Hopefully this is good enough!!! Wishing everyone luck! I hope we find out soon!!!

How is cyfair accelerated? Does the program include summer classes? Does anyone know how the cyfair program is once your accepted?
