Hello!
Is anyone else here stalking the mailperson for news about your application for Spring 09 @ Jeff State. I have applied to the Shelby campus.
I spoke with Mrs. Johnson today and she said they are waiting on approval from the Nursing Dept to find out the cut-off. She expects to know point cut-offs by the end of this week. She also said that they are planning to send out letters the first of next week.
Is this driving anyone else crazy? I've started getting cold sweats each time I hear the mailman drive by! LOL!
There is no set number of points to have. It varies each semester and depends on how many people apply and how many of those people have higher points. The cut off is never a set number. What they do is they accept a certain number of people and once that number is filled determines what the "cut off" points were. So you could have a semester that a lot of people had points in the 190s and the lowest they took was in the upper 180s. Then you could have a semester where the people had lower points. It just depends on how many students they can take. If they decided to make it where "if you have 185 points then you're safe" then they would probably have way too many students per class. They had to look at how many instructors and clinical facilities they have as well. Good luck to all applying!
