Are the kids in your schools losing their darn minds? The kids over here have gone nuts! Our main office was packed this morning with office referrals, from what I heard there are some "kissing bandits" among the 5th grade boys I think 3 or 4 of them got suspended. This is just the latest in a long line of suspensions.
I don't know if it is just Spring Fever or what, but we are all pulling our hair out with these kids. We have had discipline problems with 4th and 5th grades all year but it is really getting out of hand. My AP is about to lose her mind! Anyone else seeing this problem? How involved do you get with discipline issues as the nurse. I try and stay out of it, but these kids need to learn some respect!

We have it in our schools. We all are ready for Spring Break. I only wonder if we will make it through next week. All the teachers keep saying is 5 more days. I do try to stay out of disipline problems unless I am asked or it is one of the students that I see on a regular basis. If I do get involved it is to say that I am dissapointed in them.

I am at a middle school. Drama starts on day 1 and escalates all year!! I try to stay out of discipline - but there is a direct correlation between students who are frequent fliers in the clinic and are constant behavior problems.

Looking at another week before Sping Break, we see another trail of withdrawals just as the report cards are being printed. The daily ISS (in school suspension) and regular suspensions have been steady since day one. Last year, the kids did finally settle down in the middle of the school year, but not this bunch. They're more disrepectful, out of uniform and out of control with teachers and staff. I have just about given up on preaching to them because they walk right out the clinic and do the same thing. I feel sorry for the parent, grandparents and the generation to come. Yes, I am counting down also. I have 8 more personal days to use. I think I will use 2 days each month for the next coming months to take breathers. I'm ready to clean and rest.
