2020 Spring Enrollment for Nursing (Hillsborough Community College)

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hello,

I know some of us were discouraged to find out that we didnt get in for Fall. The cut off was the highest theyve ever seen and some were shocked to find out their true pre-req GPA. We have another chance to accomplish our dream of becoming an RN and I am hopeful we will all get in for Spring. Historically it is an easier semester to get into, last GPA cutoff for 2019 Spring was a 3.381 so there is hope. If you dont mind posting GPA and TEAS and when youve submitted the app. Round 2, lets go!

Pre-req GPA- 3.514

TEAS-67

Havnt submitted just yet, but i will be soon!

And is anyone in cohort 5?

Anyone else in cohort 4? I’ve been checking to see if anyone has started a FB group but nothing as of yet.

I’m in Cohort 4, but I don’t use Facebook lol.

I just got my acceptance letter last week for Spring 2020. I was crying because I was #26 on the Alternate list. Once accepted, you only have a few days to get forms signed and back to them. I'm currently waiting for my titers to come back. I've enrolled in a CPR course, had my fingerprints done last week, and had all the shots required for the program. It's a lot, but I can't wait to start this journey!

I'm curious if anyone knows when classes start in January?

GPA: 3.38

TEAS: 60

Does anyone know when they usually schedule orientation? I am going out of the country in November and this has been in the works for a while. Just want to be sure I don't miss it if I end up being selected.

November 4, 7:30am-4:30pm

Are there any of the immunizations that we do not need?

We need Tetorifice, MMR, 2019-2020 Flu, and I think one or two more...can’t think of them off the top of my head...

@Dr.Jekyll It is best to get all of the immunizations indicates, however, one of the forms does say “students have the right to decline vaccination but are not likely to be able to attend mandatory clinical rotations. Students who do not attend all required clinical rotations will not be able to complete their program of study.”

Best of luck!! ?

Basically, you have to get vaccinated. Anyone who works in a clinic/hospital setting is exposed to various illnesses and needs to have the antibodies to fight against them.
