Just wondering, seeing how competitive i am.... How many are applying to Spring 2010 at CSN? And what is your score? If you don't feel comfortable telling your score, just say if you are applying. I have heard that there arent many applicants this semester but also heard to the contrary, there are LOTS of applicants this semester. So I'm confused and just wondering how many are applying? I know not nearly EVERYONE who applied goes on allnurses.com, but just out of those on here, I was wondering who applied for full time spring 2010. Thanks!

Take the 1.5 credit prep class! Of all the people I know who failed the meds calculation exam, none of them had taken that class. Plus it's always helpful to have a leg up on care plans for clinical. Those can seem confusing at first.

How did you find out about the 1.5 credit prep class? How would someone try to get in there and when is the best time to register for it? Also, is it free?:)

Does anybody know?

I am wondering if the Med Calc tests for clinical's is 90% for passing or 97%. There seems to be conflicting information and I would like to know if anyone has recently taken the exam and can pass along an accurate number for me. Thank you all so very much for contributing to these posts.

The med Calc test for 1st semester students is 90% you can only miss one problem out of 10, or out of 20. The only difference is the number of problems you have each semester, they increase in number and difficulty. You can still only miss one problem. 90% or 97% doesn't matter. Only allowed to miss one problem.

The prep class is available to accepted RN students. Summer for fall program and Christmas break for the spring time.

Good luck all!

Hey everyone,

looking for some advice.....so the first semester is only 8 credits which is full time to nursing but not to financial aid...has anyone taken any other easy courses during the first semester? If so what do you recommend? I dont want to overextend myself so im hoping that someone out there has some good advice on the situation.

Thanks a lot.

I took math 093, then 095, 096 in concurrent semesters. Plus a music class to remain full time for financial aid.

Not easy but can be done.

Good luck!

Thank you so much!!! I will be sure to prepare well in advance and stay on top of it all. I will certainly be taking the prep class. And I found a ton of tools and resources on the Math page in here. I guess I just have to know it like the back of my hand in order to avoid any future complications. Thank you for the fast response.
