woo-hoo!!!!! only one more day until spring break!!! i can't believe it!

i'm just going home to spend some time with folks and plan my wedding....

does anyone have any big plans for spring break?

Spring Break..... Well the week will be pretty rough. Word is the war may start next week and my husband is on the front lines. Not too much relaxation to be had in my household. It's really scary. While the rest of America goes on their lives and occationally happens to catch some news of "oh a war is going on", thousands of families of military personnel in the Persian Gulf will be going through hell. Sorry to sound bitter, I'm just going through hellish times. Trying to go to school, take care of two small children and worring if my husband will come back home alive to me is just a little unnerving. Sometimes I feel like I don't have the strenght to get through this. I know I have to.

Please pray for our men in women over there.

Trish

Trish, those men and women are in my thoughts. Regardless of how I feel about the US going to war, I am deeply grateful to the men and women who willingly risk their lives for our country.

I can't imagine what you are going through. Please know that you can come here for support anytime.

Trish,

I don't think you sound bitter at all.

You sound like a mother and wife who could be about to embark on the scariest, unknown time of her life. I am emotionally moved by your fears. Please know that we are here, never formally introduced but friends none the less.

You are right, many many people don't know what you and your husband, children and parents are going through. All we can offer is our emotional support and deepest gratitude for this unselfish sacrifice our service people provide as we sleep peacefully each night.

Please know that I personally will be here for you. Contact me whenever you need to. I will listen. You can scream, cry, whine, yell or anything else and I will not turn my back or be judgmental. Only supportive.

Please take care and pm me if you like. And remember if your husband does need to go the stars you and your children see every night will be the same ones he looks up at too.

God Speed,

Cathy

Trish I have been there and done that. My husband was in Desert Storm. When I wasn't working I was glued to CNN and raising 2 small children. That is why now when my daughter who is in college and 20 wants to spend spring break with me I jump at that chance. If it wasn't for her father and other soldiers spring break and other forms of enjoyment would not be available to us. Your husband and all the other soldiers are in my prayers nightly. And hugs to you because I know what you are going thru truthfully!
