SPC Nursing Fall 2018

Published

Hey Everyone!

Thought I would be the first person to start a SPC Nursing Fall 2018 thread. Even though we still have one semester left before applying, I thought I would start a thread to get the ball rolling and to see where everyone stands. If are applying for the program in Fall of 2018, please let us know the amount of credits you will have at the time of applying and what your cumulative and program GPA's are. As for me, I will have 30 of 30 credits completed and a cumulative GPA of 3.9, with a program GPA of 4.0.

Fingers crossed. Been waiting since beginning of March. Good luck!

Yes, same here. Were you in Menard's Micro class?

Rooting for all of you guys! I used this site before finding that I got in and it was a god send! I just completed level 1 this past spring so if any of you guys have any questions feel free to ask!

Question... what is everyone's plans on work? Does anyone have kids? I'm a single mom, I have my son 50% off the time (1 week on/1 week off) so i have to obviously work to pay our mortgage and food on the table. I know it's going to be hard, I work 40 hrs a week and I'm going to ask my job to work with my schedule but if they don't I'll have to find a different job. I'm currently a surgical tech. Kind of freaking out...lol

Instead of working 40 hrs, I am going to work 36. I didn't want to cut back any more than that. I work nights at the front desk of a beach resort. I would talk to your work about scheduling.

Thank you!

I'm not working at all.

Im going to try, but unfortunately I'm the only one who does my job, so if I'm not there surgery doesn't happen. If I get accepted then well have to change out surgery days depending on my schedule. My doctor is fine with it, it's just if corporate approves it...we'll see. Lol hopefully they'll send the email out early instead of waiting ALL day

Yes, I hope it's not an all day waiting affair. Plus, if someone doesn't get in, they have to wait until Monday to find out why. í ½í¸©

Really?! The advisor I spoke to said the email we would get tomorrow would say if we were accepted, an alternate or not and why. Hmmm

Do yourself a favor and buy one of these rolling bins. ECR4Kids MemoryStor Universal Rolling Cart and Organizer Bag Set, Green: Amazon.com: Industrial & Scientific

My biggest regret of nursing school is not having bought one of these. You can pack all your books, supplies, and everything you need, without breaking your back.

A rolling cart? I was hoping to avoid rolling backpacks/carts because I tend to be clumsy with them.

Ah, okay. I meant like if they screwed something up, which has happened before.
