Hey, everyone! I've been looking for a thread about fall applications for SPC Nursing program, but nothing yet! It may be early, since the application period just started on March 1st, but here we go! I applied as soon as it opened , and I'm crossing my fingers until the July 1st. Anyone else applied or planning to do it soon? Let me know your thoughts and plans, we are all together in this one ? .

It does say in the acceptance email we received that we should get the MLP done so the school can register us for the nursing classes. I need to go back and re-read everything!!! I’m going to the school today to get my status changed to Nursing.
You will have very little free time during the semester outside of classes and studying. The material isn’t difficult it’s more the quantity and the required retention of that material. The instructors will tell you that they don’t advise you to work at all and they are correct however no one puts absolute restrictions on your outside work. The first few weeks will feel like a whirlwind till you accumulate yourself to the rigors but you and everyone else can do it just buckle down and stay focused I hope that answers your question and best wishes to you all the semester will fly by

It all really depends on your work ethic and how much you have to be mentally available at your job. I went through lvl 1 with 6 classmates that worked 30+ hours a week. One finished with an A, some with B's, and one with a C. It all depends on your ability to adapt and apply the knowledge you learn.

Congrats on acceptance everyone! Soon2bmurse has already filled you in on most of the stuff. I'm in level 2 right now over summer. Just focus on getting your CB paperwork in order. I know it seems like you have a lot to do. Just try to get it done asap so it's one less thing to have to worry about. If you get a baycare clinical location you stay with baycare for the program. Tammy is great with responding to questions via email so use that resource if you have questions. Once school starts it feels like it flies by with a blink. Stay on top of everything and try to turn assignments in early. Also try to enjoy your summer, the program can take your social life away.
