SPC 2021 Fall Applicants

Published

Hey everyone! Looking for anyone else applying for SPC's Fall 2021 program ?

I know the open application period doesn't start till march 1st but I thought I would see if any one else is sharing the anxiety with me. LOL

Hi everyone! I also applied to SPC for the fall. My GPA is a 3.678 or 3.7 rounded, I am a Pinellas county resident, and I have all classes completed.

I applied for Spring of 2021, which I got accepted into, but I had to decline my offer because of the birth of my daughter ☺️

I am currently accepted into Galen for a July start, but they are soooooo expensive LOL. So I applied again to SPC. I haven’t got any email about the seminar yet @SeaTurtle21

The schedule at SPC is giving me so much anxiety. I am not sure how I would juggle getting my kids to and from daycare / school with the way the morning and “evening” classes are at SPC. Does Galen have evening classes?

We find out in about a week and a half whether we get accepted or not! ?

It doesn’t seem like there will be an info seminar this round since prior it was held almost a month before I think?

I haven’t thought about night or days because I’m just hoping I get in!

July 1 seems so far away ?

I read a previous years blog post on here, (I think 2019) that they started getting their letters on the 28th!

I don’t want to jinx it ?? anxiously waiting for July 1!

I am hoping for the best but also emotionally prepared to either be waitlisted or bypassed this semester. I have a 3.7 GPA and am taking micro right now (got a C in World Religions way back in 2005 when I was earning a BA at USF, but all other prerequisites are As). If I don’t get in for fall I am going to retake world religions so that I have a 4.0. I am killing myself to make sure I get As in micro and the lab.

I have my fingers crossed for you!

Hi!!

This is my first post. Super excited to get our decision letters!

Does anyone have access to what the acceptance letter looked like? Curious to see what we need to do before orientation.

I would get started on all Immunizations, gathering records or getting titers.  I am level 2 right now.  You will set up an account with a website and they track all the "pre" stuff you have to do.  It takes a while and having all forms of the records they need will speed it along and help lower anxiety about it.

Do you have any advice for getting through level 1? How to schedule our time with studying?
