SPC College

Published

Hello, I have finished my prerequisites, and applied for the A.S Nursing at SPC College. My GPA is 3.800, so I hope it is good enough to be accepted. I will be notified by July 1st. Now I have nothing to do until July, and I have no idea what to expect? Like for example, what textbooks will I be needing? Maybe I can do some reading, just to get a hint of what to expect. So can anyone that have "been there, done that" give me some advice, and maybe a name of few books to leaf through? Thank you!

Trivine1,

I'm not much of a early morning person (especially on a Sat.), but if I can't find a more appealing start time, then I might resort to that class. I found a class on 7/21 from 6-10 pm in Largo (Seminole Blvd). Btw, thanks for the info!

I will likely be joining you, Trivine. I'll know my husband's schedule Monday (my birthday!) and will find out then. It's really far for me but I can't find anything closer for that low of a price, so I think it would be worth it.

Happy Birthday :D!

Where is the location of the CPR training in Largo? That's close to me and sounds like a good option. Do you have any contact info?

Stacey,

Holiday Inn Express located @ 210 Seminole Blvd. Here is a link to the info:

Also, I read on their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/InPulseCPR?fref=ts

"Our CPR101 code expires July 31st. This code gets you $5 off of registration, so sign up soon!" I tried it and it works.

FYI: I think there is major road work being done down East Bay, so you won't be able to go straight down & turn on Seminole; you will have to go over to Ulmerton.

Hope that helps!

So, has anyone gotten any information about our clinical sites. I was told we'd get an email about it but I haven't gotten anything.

Thank you!!! Guess I'll see you there!

I have been wondering about this as well. Are we only going to know about it during orientation? Then we have to make a decision right then and there? I don't like that.

Well from what my sources told me, she had gotten an email before hand and was able to research it before hand. I'm gunna shoot her s text and find out how soon before she had gotten thy email! I'll let you know!!

Haven't received anything here, either. In our acceptance letter, it states:

"Registration for your classes will take place at this orientation. To assist in scheduling preferences, please familiarize yourself with the local hospitals and Healthcare networks such as HCA and Baycare."

I am very nervous. My life is changing, I scheduled my son in a daycare and I feel awful and selfish about it. I don't feel comfortable, everything is changing!! I hope the time passes quick, and things get back to normal. Or will it ever get back to normal?! I'm on freaked out mode :nailbiting:.

Don't feel bad about that! You're doing it to better the future for both of you! But i understand the anxiety! When i went to take my urinalysis she told me it was super diluted and I would probably have to go back to take another one.. yet I haven't heard anything and they're supposed to be due tomorrow?:banghead:
