SPC College

Published

Hello, I have finished my prerequisites, and applied for the A.S Nursing at SPC College. My GPA is 3.800, so I hope it is good enough to be accepted. I will be notified by July 1st. Now I have nothing to do until July, and I have no idea what to expect? Like for example, what textbooks will I be needing? Maybe I can do some reading, just to get a hint of what to expect. So can anyone that have "been there, done that" give me some advice, and maybe a name of few books to leaf through? Thank you!

Thanks S00jy, but my wait is not over. Alternates won't be notified until Jul 21st...:wideyed: and I don't know what my chances are being this far down the list. Congratulations to everyone that got in and for those who didn't keep trying  Can anyone tell me what the letter of intent deadline is for those who got accepted?

Looks like it is July 15th.
what time?

I was alternate #25 for Spring and I got in, I think you have a pretty good chance. I couldn't attend due to medical issues. Though just to let you know, you will likely have a later orientation as an alternate.

Thanks, I needed to hear that. I am still hopeful. Have you heard anything yet?

No, I have a feeling I'm going to have to email or call them. Also, last fall, they got up to at least alternate 19 from what I've read on other threads on here.

Ashtinp, that is so encouraging to hear. I have read many post suggesting Fall admission process is way more competitive than Spring. Good luck on finding out your outcome and I hope you will let us know how it turns out.

Not accepted, not an alternate... Super bummed. Trying to figure out what classes to take this semester since I completed all of the pre-requisites... Blarg

Got my acceptance email, just to update you guys. Good luck to Edwards with your alternate status, and good luck to those who didn't get in and need to reapply. Like I said, I was supposed to start in January this year, but I got diagnosed with cancer right when I got my acceptance so it had to be put off for treatment. I'll see some of you at orientation, I'll be the one with barely any hair :p

Congratulations Ashtinp on your courageous journey and I look forward to meeting you

I am sorry about this. I know how you feel, I applied last semester, and was not accepted because at the time I didn't have Micro done, then I finished Micro, and I had to sit and wait, I took some classes to fill out my time. But now I'm in, so don't give up.
