Hello, I have finished my prerequisites, and applied for the A.S Nursing at SPC College. My GPA is 3.800, so I hope it is good enough to be accepted. I will be notified by July 1st. Now I have nothing to do until July, and I have no idea what to expect? Like for example, what textbooks will I be needing? Maybe I can do some reading, just to get a hint of what to expect. So can anyone that have "been there, done that" give me some advice, and maybe a name of few books to leaf through? Thank you!
Hello everyone, I have good news . I have just registered for CPR class, here is the info. Fire department offers BLS/ CPR for healthcare. $40 cash or check only. Saturday July 18th. Class starts 8:30 am-1:00 pm. Address: 400 Dr. MLKing Jr St S. Here is the website: SPFR Business Information
You will find a phone number there to call and register, or you can call Susan at: 893-7076. Only 3 are in the class right now, she said "the more the merrier", so anyone coming?
Hi Everyone! I've been following this thread for sometime now, I was accepted to start the RN program at SPC also! and I have so many questions but am so excited at the same time! There is so much to get done, I can't believe it!! The only things I plan on having done by orientation is the background and the drug test and I am hoping that they will point us in some sort of direction for everything else! Just an FYI, I know some people who started in the spring and the first set of books they told me if purchased at the book store was well over $1000 including the skills kit which you have to get at the bookstore! So be prepared also I was advised if thats where I pick up my books from to bring someone with me.. It's that many books.
