Southwestern College ADN Fall 2018 Cohort

Published

I just wanted to start a topic for this upcoming Southwestern ADN cohort (Fall 2018)! What are everyone's stats? (GPA, Teas, etc). I'm also applying at San Diego City, Palomar College, Grossmont and National University.

Did you take it when you got it done? I was under the impression that the form was to be filled out if you got the shot through SWC health services. I got mine back in September and didn't have the form. It was signed off on my immunization form and documented on my immunization record, but I was not asked for that specific form when turning in my application.

Yes. I specifically had it signed by the MA who gave me the shot :)

Turned in my application today, super nervous to find out if I got in or not!

Hi everyone! I'm currently in my 2nd semester in the ADN program at SWC. I saw someone posted on my old forum asking about when the earliest they may find out their acceptance and saw this hyperlink in a response. To answer your question, I received my acceptance letter through email March 8th.

Hello jacjacjac! I had a question! Do they send out denial letters first or after? And by chance is it true the cut off for last year was 72? Sorry for the questions lol. Also, what is the day and evening schedule? Thanks a bunch!!!

Thank you what was the point range of those who got in?

They sent the acceptance first, then alternatives, then denials from what I gathered from other students. I'm not sure what the cut off was for last year, but I had a total of 75 points and was accepted. I'm currently in the weekend/evening cohort. Classes are Tues, Thurs, and clinicals are on Saturdays. I believe day cohort met Tues, Wed, Thurs.

ahhhh okay thank you so much.. I have the same amount of points as well.. so I'm hoping to get in. *fingers crossed* how are you liking the ADN program?

Hi @jacjacjac! How many spots in your class freed up so far for the LVNs that'll be joining in the summer? I applied to the Step Up program and would like to get a feel for how many applicants will be accepted.

We had asked one of the professors last semester how many LVN students will be added to our class and they didn't have a definitive number, but said maybe around 10.

10 totals for morning and evening? Or 10 each?

~10 LVN step-up are added to the evening class during our 3rd semester, but that number is not definitive.

So they don't even get lvns for the morning?
